    You Cannot Hide From God.

    Yes.

    You cannot hide from God.

    Yesterday, I was called upon to pray after the Sunday School.

    Then, our Pastor Linus Ikpoko called my name for the very first time to pray before his sermon.

    I was moved. By the love of God.

    Nothing best describes this state than Psalm 139.

    Psalm 139

    For the director of music. Of David. A psalm.

        1 O LORD, you have searched me
           and you know me.

        2 You know when I sit and when I rise;
           you perceive my thoughts from afar.

        3 You discern my going out and my lying down;
           you are familiar with all my ways.

        4 Before a word is on my tongue
           you know it completely, O LORD.

        5 You hem me in—behind and before;
           you have laid your hand upon me.

        6 Such knowledge is too wonderful for me,
           too lofty for me to attain.

        7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
           Where can I flee from your presence?

        8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
           if I make my bed in the depths, [a] you are there.

        9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
           if I settle on the far side of the sea,

        10 even there your hand will guide me,
           your right hand will hold me fast.

        11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
           and the light become night around me,"

        12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
           the night will shine like the day,
           for darkness is as light to you.

        13 For you created my inmost being;
           you knit me together in my mother's womb.

        14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made;
           your works are wonderful,
           I know that full well.

        15 My frame was not hidden from you
           when I was made in the secret place.
           When I was woven together in the depths of the earth,

        16 your eyes saw my unformed body.
           All the days ordained for me
           were written in your book
           before one of them came to be.

        17 How precious to [b] me are your thoughts, O God!
           How vast is the sum of them!

        18 Were I to count them,
           they would outnumber the grains of sand.
           When I awake,
           I am still with you.

        19 If only you would slay the wicked, O God!
           Away from me, you bloodthirsty men!

        20 They speak of you with evil intent;
           your adversaries misuse your name.

        21 Do I not hate those who hate you, O LORD,
           and abhor those who rise up against you?

        22 I have nothing but hatred for them;
           I count them my enemies.

        23 Search me, O God, and know my heart;
           test me and know my anxious thoughts.

        24 See if there is any offensive way in me,
           and lead me in the way everlasting.

    Continue to Spread the Word of God like Butter on Bread

    Today's Scriptures:
    Today, we went out to preach the Good News of the gospel of salvation.
    The whole members of the church, except the children who stayed behind to wait for us. The pastor also went along with us.
    I enjoy going out to preach. And I have eleven years of preaching the gospel in public transport buses in the congested traffic of Lagos city in Nigeria, the most populous country in Africa.
    Do you enjoy witnessing for Jesus Christ?
    That is our first duty as He commanded us to make disciples of all nations. And not to be competing for the Guinness Book of World Records for the largest congregation or the largest crusade.
    What I call the "My church is bigger than yours" syndrome.
    I did not see anywhere in the Holy Bible where God said we should be competing for worldly titles or super stardom.
    If you want to be a superstar, you are free.
    But, there are no special awards in heaven for Christians who won Oscars or Grammies. Only for those who won precious souls for the Kingdom of God.
    May God help us all to do the right thing in obedience to His Word.

    That I May Know Him!

    For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to
    pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of
    His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding; that you may walk
    worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good
    work and increasing in the knowledge of God; strengthened with all
    might, according to His glorious power, for all patience and
    longsuffering with joy; giving thanks to the Father who has qualified
    us to be partakers of the inheritance of the saints in the light.

    He has delivered us from the power of darkness and conveyed us into
    the kingdom of the Son of His love, in whom we have redemption through
    His blood, the forgiveness of sins.

    He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn over all creation.
    For by Him all things were created that are in heaven and that are on
    earth, visible and invisible, whether thrones or dominions or
    principalities or powers. All things were created through Him and for
    Him.

    And He is before all things, and in Him all things consist. And He is
    the head of the body, the church, who is the beginning, the firstborn
    from the dead, that in all things He may have the preeminence.

    Colossians 1:9-18

    Today's Meditation:

    Hold out the Word of Life

    Wherefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not as in my presence
    only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation
    with fear and trembling.

    For it is God which worketh in you both to will and to do of his good
    pleasure.

    Do all things without murmurings and disputings:

    That ye may be blameless and harmless, the sons of God, without
    rebuke, in the midst of a crooked and perverse nation, among whom ye
    shine as lights in the world;

    Holding forth the word of life; that I may rejoice in the day of
    Christ, that I have not run in vain, neither laboured in vain.
