From Genesis to Revelation, the word of God has been described as being alive, with the ability to create, to bring alive, to change lives and push people into their destiny. Hebrews 11:4 speaks about the the word of God framing the very world that we live in, the sun that gives us light by day and the moon that gives us light by night, the stars, the Word of God.  The Word of God defined Abram's destiny. By God's word Abram was seperated from his family, with a promise of being made a great nation, on a journey to fullfill his destiny. By God's word, Abram was transformed into Abraham.

Obeying the Word of God saw Abraham meeting up to some hardhips, to some enemies, to betrayal, making some mistakes. Oftentimes when we obey the word of God we think that it will be smooth sailing, but we are wrong.  The one thing that we need to realize is that despite what we go through, we have the word of God as our foundation, to support us, to uphold us and undergird us. 

Today let the word of God define your destiny, bring change in your life, cause you to prosper and be successful. Let it bring healing and health to your body, let it defeat your enemies.When God sends His word, we can rest assurred that His word will not return unto Him void, but it shall accomplish what He pleases and prosper in the thing for which he sent it.
