JESUS THE DOOR TO THE REALM OF GLORY

JESUS - THE DOOR TO THE GLORY REALM Jesus gives us access to God’s presence, love and blessings through His Blood. As we return to God through the Blood of Jesus we enter the realm of God’s presence-, which is the Kingdom of God. Jesus’ Blood and Person is the Door to the kingdom of God. “I am the door; if any one enters by me, he will be saved, and will go in and out and find pasture.” (John 10:9) Many have been taught to simply believe in the forgiveness of sins and return to their own life – with their “accounts settled”. The gospel is so much more. We are called not to stop at the Door but to go through it (Him) into a living relationship with God the Father. Jesus, Our Good Shepherd, invites us to go through the Door opened by His Blood into fellowship with God, the Father, and to live the rest of our lives in God’ presence. It is time to cultivate a fuller awareness God’s presence and ask that our spiritual eyes and ears be opened to see and hear more clearly. We are to live in the conscious presence of God, celebrating, receiving and transmitting His love and mercy. Jesus says, “Make your home in My love”. (John 15:9) This dimension of free access to God opened for us by Jesus is the glory, which Jesus speaks about in John 17. “The glory which You have given me I have given them that they all may be one, Father as I am with You that they world may believe that You have sent me and have loved them even as thou hast loved Me.” (John 17:21-23) Paul refers to the glory when he says, “all have sinned and fallen short of the glory of God”. (Romans 3:23) The essence of the fall is not so much that we do evil things but that we have become separated from God’s presence. Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden we recovered in the glory until they lost it through sin and independence. The purpose of the Atonement is not only to pay for our sins but also to bring us back to the realm of the glory – the realm of God’s love and presence. This atmosphere is now opened up to all through faith in Jesus. Man fell short of the glory but now through Jesus we can return to the realm of the glory for which we were created. As a fish live in water, and birds live in air, the proper realm for humans to live in is the glory – the realm of the Father’s love and Presence. Salvation is not just a matter of going to Jesus –the Blood spattered Door, but going through the door to the realm of heavenly places. It is not simply sins forgiven by the Blood but access to God’s presence permanently and continually through that blood. It is living the rest of our lives in the presence and mercies of God. We are to return to the realm of the glory to which we have access and live there. Though we live on earth our lives should center not on the things of the earth but on the Presence of God and the realm of the Father’s love, glory and presence, which Jesus opens for us. We live in two worlds but our main focus should be on the unseen realm. “Because we look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are seen are transient, but the things that are unseen are eternal.” (2 Cor 4:18) Let us take time not just to make your requests known to God but to live in Hs presence, soak in His presence, enjoy his presence and let Him reveal Himself to us. We don’t have to wait until we die and go to heaven to live in heavenly places and live in intimacy with God. Let’s not stop short at the Door but go through it (Him) and let the Spirit lead us into ever increasing discovery of the heights and depths of God’s love. “We all now with unveiled faces beholding the glory of God as in a mirror are being transformed into his likeness from one degree of glory to the next.” (2 Corinthians 3:18)
