Forgive and you shall be forgiven

No one deserves to be loved. We love because He first loved us.

Learning this helps me understand why the Lord commands us to love others just as He has loved us. The basis of our love is not because one deserves to be loved but because we have been commanded to love.

Loving others is a command from our Lord. He says He will measure our love for Him by how much we love our brothers and sisters. It is upon this that even the unbelievers will know that we are His disciples and that He was sent from God.

Knowing this settles matters when your friends hurt you. You will not be quick to hate them because you know neither of you deserves to be love. We therefore dont love people on the basis of what they have done for us but because we desire to share the love God has given us with them irrespective of whether they hurt us or not.

It is not easy to love those who hurt you. I know that very well. Last year but one I broke up with a man I thought would be my husband. He just called it quits and denied ever wishing to marry me. I was deeply hurt. For months I struggled with the idea of forgiving him and myself. I first of all felt stupid , foolish and a nobody. How could I face Him and tell him, ' You hurt me by doing this......but today i forgive you.' It was not after I got the revelation about God's love for me that I chose to forgive that man. Today am a free bird.

Love is patient, it is kind, is doesnt keep a record of wrong, it is not easily angered..,..etc. This and more in 1corinthians 13 describes what true love is. In case you are struggling with unforgiveness , you can ask God to reveal to you His love by reading that scripture or by reading about the death and ressurrection of Jesus.

If you love Jesus you will forgive that person however deep they hurt you. And remember we love because He first loved us.

Dont forget the Lord Jesus Christ tells you unless you forgive others He will not forgive you. You definately dont want to go to hell!

Intergrity

Integrity comes when character is tested. It is not what you appear when all eyes are on you. It is who you are when no one is looking.

Intergrity is when your no means a no and yes means a yes. With intergrity there is no middle ground. One keeps his word even if it costs him his life. This man or woman is depandable and trustworthy.

When is the last time you spoke the truth? How far has intergrity been from you since Wednesday last week?

Jesus is the Way the Truth and the Life. Those who follow Him must love the truth and live in the truth. I beseech you to love the truth; to eat it, dress it, talk it, smile it , walk it , sleep under its cover and dance to the music of the truth.

The Bible tells me the Truth is Jesus Himself and the Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth . Jesus Christ came to earth to be a witness to the truth. He says you shall know the truth and the truth shall set you free. How do you know the truth?

'In the beginning the Word already existed. He was with God and He was God.' John 1:1 The Word is the Truth. In the Word of God we find the truth. Except you read the Word intergrity is going to be miles away from you. Here you will know the difference between the truth and the lie. With the increase of the Word of God in your spirit there will be fruit of the truth out of your spoken word and actions. Could be the reason you are lying a lot lately is because you have not read the Bible a lot.

Knowing the truth gives you the confidance to stand for it even if it costs your life. You will hate evil and do good. Even if no one is watching you , you will still live a holy life. The Spirt of truth will guide you always despite the absence of your pastor. You will know that your Master is Jesus Christ and not pastor so or deacon so or apostle so and so. You will stand even if the holiest pastor backslides. You character will bear good fruit at all times despite the circumstance.

In otherwords intergrity comes with knowing your Master Jesus Christ personally intimately and passionately.

Be strong and take heart.

A  few days to Easter and am wondering , what is with  this thing called the 'Cross'.

The Lord Jesus says unless someone carries his/her cross, deny himself and follow Him then he cant be His disciple. Are you His disciple?

Have you faced a lot of pain in life and you wonder if God ever notices your tears? You wonder why He just cant raise His hand and say to the storm,' Be still.' I mean you wonder why He cant command a host of His angels to come right down on earth and fight your battles. Imagine a million angels visiting you one day in your room watching them seriously kicking out that demon called 'lust'. It sounds crazy!

God is supreme. If God  could say no to His Son's request to take the cup of suffering away from Him while in the garden of Gathsemane, then what about His adopted children. Knowing that helped  me understand that some trials and temptations will stay no matter how loud i cry out to God to take them away. It was for my good that Jesus died on the cross. It is for your good that you carrry that cross.

Remember God disciplines those He loves. This is another way He can manifest His love to you. Some times love is tough and not tender.

Do you recall our Lord saying, 'in this world you will face many trials and trouble but take heart I have overcome the world.' We are living in a fallen world in which  trouble is definate. BUT. ..take heart the Lord is with you.

You are more than a conquerer and on the winner's side. Be strong and take heart as you carry your cross. The reward is immeasurable.

There is something so sweet to be true. So nice to look at. So special to celebrate and so valuable to trade for any other thing. Guess what?

It is the love of God. I am crazy about Jesus Christ. Have you ever meditated about the goodness of the Lord. Oh! my goodness. His love is just so super. When He loves you He will forever love you even after death. His vow to love you is eternal. Even if mountains quake and the hills disappear He has promised to always love you with an everlasting love.

Dont you feel special. I mean someone so big and huge could leave His place of Honour just to come and die for you. Common, that is beyong my imagination. God knows am special and valuable. So i value myself and treat myself like He says am. I am a daughter of the King of Kings. A princess indeed.

I love it in the morning when i wake up and say to my heavenly Daddy while the entire world is sleeping (supposedly) and i say to Him, 'Good morning Daddy.'

Do you ever pray in the morning?Try it this week. Daddy is always eager to hear from His beloved Son/daughter early before any distraction sets in.
