I started the preliminary work on my first "real from scratch" website in November of 2003. I did not have any intention what so ever of making it a Christian website initially. In fact, I wasn't even looking for a home business much less a Christian home based business. I had my own mortgage company and was looking for another way to drive internet traffic to my loan website when I stumbled upon a company called SiteSell. This site had more useful information about the internet, websites, and how to promote them than any resource I had ever seen. I hoped using the information would help me get excited about my mortgage business again and maybe, just maybe my 2004 would be different. I had no idea how big of a wake up call God was about to give me. My Mom almost died 3 days after Christmas and that put me on a completely different path. While I was on night watch with my mom I read "The Law Of Success" by Napoleon Hill again. This time, though, I was also praying for answers and direction while I read. A few weeks later I got the answers when He lead us to our new church. I decided that day that I wanted and needed God to be the center of my life. I knew my days as a mortgage banker were numbered so I decided to create a Christian business resource site and start phasing myself out of the mortgage business for good.
My initial plan was to find a few good affiliate programs and hopefully a Christian business opportunity or two to promote. I began scouring the internet and could not find any "true" Christian home based businesses to promote. Sure, I found a ton of Christians participating in business opportunities but no actual Christian businesses. Finally, God led me to Spread The Word Ministries. The company concept was original, brilliant and really quite simple. I earned a million dollars during the 90s with a direct sales company but this was fresh and different. I have seen every direct sales, mlm, and networking program to come down the pike in the last 15 years. There is not an opportunity with this much raw power currently in the marketplace or anything that even remotely compares to it.
The major component that most business opportunities are missing is God. Most of the opportunities that claim to be Christian oriented do not have anything to do with Spreading the Word of Christ.
Spread The Word is the only true "Christian business opportunity" out there that actually markets life changing Christian products.
