Joseph E. Mahabir taught school for a number of years. He earned a B.A.Hons. degree in Psychology (York University, Toronto) and a M.Ed. degree in Educational Administration (University of Toronto). The Lord called him to ministry and he enrolled at Regent University, Virginia Beach, VA. He graduated with a Master's degree in Biblical Studies, magna cum laude. He was ordained in 1990 by The Peoples Church, Toronto. Joseph served there as a minister from 1993-1997. Prior to his appointment at The Peoples Church, Joseph served as Supervisor of Counseling with Christian Broadcasting Associates, the 700 Club, in Toronto. At the present time, Joseph functions as an itinerant teacher/evangelist.
