About Me: My name is Meghan, and I'm a psychology student in Miami, Florida, and I graduate in May of 2008. After I graduate, I plan to enroll in the doctoral program, and eventually open up my own practice, helping as many people as I can, also implementing animal-assisted therapy. I am 25 years old, and I am marrying my fiance, Leonardo, on December 29, 2007...by then we would have been together for a little over seven and a half years! He's a really great guy, and we look forward to spending our lives together, and having a family together in the future! As for my faith, I have always been protestant, but my mother has switched denominations quite a few times as I grew up before she decided on becoming Catholic after she married my step-father. As for me, I take religion very seriously, and I have been doing as much reading as I can to figure out the beliefs of each Christian religion/denomination as well as where they stand with many social and political issues, and after the amount of reading I have done, I'm finding that my beliefs match those of the Lutheran church in almost every way. My next step is to find a church in my area (I moved down to Miami in 2005). Even though I have always held a deep belief in God, I still feel quite new at this. I use to believe in the "personal" worship/relationship with God only, but as I have gotten older, I have come to realize the importance of attending church, and I am making sure that I read the Bible completely for myself to avoid others fooling me, and to understand exactly what is expected of me, etc. The one thing I don't like is when people quote what they want from the Bible to prove a point, especially a violent and negative one, but when I go and read the passage in the Bible for myself I often find that the person left out a great important part that easily makes their statement false. I definitely stand by education because of this and many other reasons. I am very friendly, empathetic, loving, and I love to make friends, learn about other countries and cultures, read, draw, everything! I'm very easy going and peaceful, but I stand up for my beliefs as well.
Denomination: looking...but believe I am Lutheran
