I plan to go back to James tommorrow, unless something compells me otherwise. I am not doing a formal study, per se. I am just meandering through the book and picking out what strikes me. I would like to go to another book afer James, and those of you who may have a feeling about me from reading may want to make a suggestion or two for the next book. Old or New Testament, it doesn't matter. No suggestion is wrong. And I will wander off track from time to time, I am making no commitment to stay with a book exclusively until I have run through it.

This verse has special meaning to me. (not that it was one that I memorized or anything) It rings true even to my secular life. Strange.

    Be blessed today and always,

    Mel

I think you should jump to Daniel. No special reason thats just where my Bible opened to.Just let the Spirit be your guide
    Be blessed

I enjoyed your disclaimers. Follow your heart, its full of the holy Spirit. (although I do like 1John)

Note to self: One Suggestion = Daniel. Hm... That book certainly has the potential to show my ignorance and yet also for me to learn as well. Ok, Ross. That is one to consider. Let's see what others say...

I take very few vows Jon, and take them very seriously. I still fail, but I try to keep my "yes" to be "yes" and my "no" to be "no", and we know what everything beyond that is...

I will take an oath when I must, such as in court or enlisting in the military. Wedding vows, etc. But I try to avoid it. I make the disclaimers based upon my understanding of my own weaknesses. When lo and behold, I keep to something better than expected, that is Praise for the Lord! (even if it was not by my faithfulness...)

    Be Blessed,

    Mel

2 Samuel - Don't ask why, that was the first book that truly came to mind, and I've been reading Isaiah lately!

    God Bless
