And we still are free to accept the payment (or blessing) anyways. Possibly obliged, in some cases.
Be Blessed,

Morning Mel, Many years ago when I was a being interviewed for a job I was required to travel about 400 miles & remain there for about four/five days, all this with no money. The Church treasurer came up to me & said we have discussed your ministry at todays meeting & here is 100 pounds, about two hundred dollars at that time. So I had enough to travel & stay without worrying about funds. Yes the blessings are more than abstract, they are real in every way. Rewards are about being priveleged enough to assist in the work set out by God. My needs have been met at every turn, Praise be to a graceful God for 'he heard my voice & has heard my cry for mercy'.
Ps 116:1
Thats Awesome

Those rewards of this world were short lived however Mel Since the King was slain that night. I think this speaks as to where our trasures lie I don't believe that Daniel really put that much faith in his worldly gifts and the power that came with those possesions. Easy come, easy go. Store up treasures in Heaven
Be blessed
