Sorry that I have not kept up well with my posts. Under the weather a little. Not enough to keep me form bouncing around, but enough to slow down the seriousness with which I should continue to post. (at least in my mind)
Oh well. This one struck me curiously. It may not challenge many of you, but it did me. Let me explain by saying that the first image I had was of the passage in Luke 18:10-14, which I visualize when I read it. However, Nehemiah is not this man that was brought to mind. In reading his book, there is both passion and pragmatism that drives him in many of the things he does. He prays to God, but is not above doing what he sees as needed to protect God's people. Is this a lack of faith? Is this a self-centered thing he asks for in this passage? Challenges aplenty for me.
