HMMM! I guess it would depend on the circustances. Good question.

This person would be very needed, but I think there would be things to consider...like...Does the team always lose? Is the goal to win? Is the team a good fit and do you get along well with and enjoy them? Could you possibly help to turn the team into more of a winning team? Are you strong enough to be an influencer rather than to be influenced? Would life be better on a team with people who knew how to play better than you, even though you'll never be named MVP in that crowd? I guess it would come down to, does God want you to stay on that team or to join another?

Very interesting way of looking at things though. Gets a person to stop and think.

I think my fleshly desire would be to be the big fish in the little pond. I think spiritually, I might be led to stay if I felt it was where God needed me to be. I like a challenge (can't tell if that is flesh or spirit, or just the way God made me to do what he would have me do) So that might drive me to better competition with a better team to help.

Long and Short: What They said! LOL!

Am I a leader or a follower? Isn't that what the question boils down to? The best player would have to become the leader simply by default. I have always been more drawn to the underdogs and the biggest part of my calling is as a leader....so, I'm staying put.

Great thought provoking question... then comes the question for today "Who am I to you?" Jesus asked His disciples... like everyone has said there are situations to consider... circumstances to ponder.. but we have to remember that life is not really all about me until I make my life all about Him!

One thought... just because I am the best player on my team does not at all qualify me for the best team! This is where a lot of high school athletes get in real trouble. This youngster may well be the best player on his team or even in his school or even school history.

However, when he goes to a major college or different playing field things can change in an instant! we have to remember that everything is relative and who is doing the evaluations has a little to do with things as well!

As long as we listen to The Master evaluator then we will be alright!
