Hello Mel,
I felt I must comment after all your help so I looked up this Psalm in my Bible.
I think that David is not calling out for his own revenge on enemies; rather He wants God's justice to be meted out not only in David's time but also in our time. Let their descendents also learn for this.

Hey Mel - see, I can eventually get in. Still don't have much time though, but had to pop in to say hi. Will try to come here now and again. I see many new faces and that includes yours. Again, like with Jon, I was way way way off the mark. I thought you'd be someone who shaved his hair on number2. lol
