Hi Lois, I enjoyed your post but left my comment on the one before this one by mistake.
I always enjoy your postsvery much, you always put so much in them. I am in an area with many churches that no longer preach the gospel, but call themselves "recovering" churches that have replaced the gospel with "the twelve steps". I feel better equipped from your post that clarified how to approach such persons, and to alert the saints here on dealing with this issue.

This post just lays it on the line... explains it so simply.
My previous religion was one with no relationship with Jesus and being good was all that was expected of you.
Poor, foolish people.
With your permission I would like to cut and paste this post to an email to send to some of my friends who still worship there.
I find this easy to understand and says everything that I would like to.

Yes,I also thank God for the Preachers and Teachers, of the Gospel, who tell the truth....So many mislead others, because they don't fully understand the true word of God......The ones that mislead others, the blood will be on their hands, as they are responsible for what they preach/teach....and the one that hears is also responsible what they receive....Every Christian should know the Bible, so when they hear, they will know if it is true or not... Some people never open their Bible, until Sunday Morning Service, sad........

Whohoo! What a super great post, dear Lois! Those are so the thoughts I have been thinking lately. You are so right, our salvation is not about us doing the right deeds but having the living relationship with our Heavenly Father... and the right deeds will naturally pour out of us. The more we are filled with Him, the more we are like Him... and the world will see Him and experience His love through us. Wonderful post. Thank You!

The most precious Gift that was given, When God gave His only begotten Son, Jesus.......
