Thank you for this today. I can't imagine how Abraham must have felt. I've thought often on this and not sure how or what I would have done in the same situation.

Wonderful. Thank you for reminding us all that God actually knows what He is doing, but sometimes our faith also needs to be tested, not for God to know if we are faithful (He knows everything) but for us to realise the amount of faith we have!

Yes, I think we are spoiled childern, we all are at some point, but God is our Father and understands, and know how to deal with us.

I love the part that says "I sware by myself..' God couldn't find anything more worthy to sware by, so He swore by Himself. There couldn't be no better warranty.

Abraham is a great example for us all... as he was as human as we all are. we have to remember that Abraham spent 25 years on a journey somewhere before God gave him his son of promise. So... after 25 years and at 100 years old... Abraham was then able to offer his son that GOD GAVE him as a sacrifice to God.
Actually if you look at Abrahams statement to the men that went with them to the mountain, he told them... "stay here and me and the lad will return to you."
Abraham trusted God to the point that if He let Abraham offer his son as a sacrifice that God would raise him from the dead...
To prove that Abraham was human though go back and look and you will not find it written that Abraham said anything to Sarah about what he was going to do!
LOL
Be blessed and walk with God as He commands us to walk because there is no question.. Our Father does know what is best for us!
