    Be careful about books. They contain the opinions of people. Sometimes they are accurate, other times not. We need to be discerning. Wild at Heart is very popular. People, even Christians like to follow trends and fads. They run like caribou in herds and packs. Let the Lord teach you out of the "pure milk of the word."
    Yes, God will protect and preserve your children, through your prayers and instruction to them. He has mine through a very difficult period in my life. Grace to you, dear brother!

    Michael I agree with that to a certain point in that as long as someone does not set aside their Bible to read something else, but reading a book that works in conjunction with the Bible while still reading the Bible can't get one to far off track. Eldredge has a story worth telling and if he inspires men to look into the scriptures I don't believe to much backsliding will occur from it. Besides it never hurts to view every angle and take on the scriptures simply discern

    Yes, I agree that is how I look at all books I read, advice I get on my blog, messages i hear from the pulpit. The Bible is the benchmark we should use
