Oh I love that subject! Spiritual gifts.
We were just discussing it last week, wondering why we do not hear much about the subject. I know the youth will never forget it. Your work will be rewarded. Brenda

    Hi Jon,
I love hearing about how you are ministering to the kids.
Great idea to show spiritual gifts as presents.
I look forward to hearing about the curiousity of opening the gifts analogy.
You are blessing to those kids.
God bless you and may HE continue to shine His light through you to those children.

It's good to know that you are not sitting on your gift. You have an awesome way of explaining things. Politics or not...hold on to the passion, my brother.
Thanks for the comment on my post.

    Jon,

I think, like many here, you are doing great. I have a challenge to see if you can work it into your teachings. When we talk about the parts of the body, we often do not mention the 'unmentionables' and this doctrine covers that in the scriptures as well. I think it would be good for your young people to consider what parts of the body they consider unmentionable and consider that in Christ's body, their equivalents exist. It is comething they would do well to think about, and see if it can be used as a tool to teach true humility. "those parts are given more honor" is the way it is put I think...

I just had to look that one up. 1 Corr 12:23-25. Often overlooked or ignored. Important to understand what it means for humility...

My opinion: You are going about this very well.

    In Christ,

    Mel

Jon, I like your idea for causing the children to stp and think on their gifts that they recieved form Gods hands and that those gifts are to be shared with all.

You guys are very kind. Thanks for reading and thanks for your comments. Believe me, teaching kids is the high point of my life.

I did ask this week about their curiosity about the REAL gifts. Some were silent, but a few said, "Yes, I am thinking about that now."

Mel, I will look into that analogy, probably for alternate use with the college group. If it works for me, I'll pass on how it went.
