Warm and friendly like a dove

I don't think he was being mean, although verse is very easy to misunderstand and I could be reading it wrong. We have filters we see everything through and by and by, our filters can mix up the messages.
BTW, I can not read the verse on the picture. It is not important, I guess, but I am curious at what it says...
