I read your comment with interest, could it be that they alone knew the words because of the special position that they are in? The 144,000 are the firstfruits to God and the Lamb. v4 The angels, God's messengers are already there!!! They already do God's bidding remember Gabriel?
Hope this can help, the picture language of Revelation is I find extremely difficult, to comprehend, I sometimes let it remain a mystery of the heavenlies. Waiting prompting from the H.S.
The main thrust that God is in control & through the works of Christ I may someday stand on His Holy hill, is my hope. Based on nothing less that Jesus & His righteousness.
