Actually, according to the Rules of War or Laws of Armed Conflict, it is codified that a Prisoner of War is to get exactly such treatment. (naot all nations abide by this, and we cross that line as well, it seems...)
Think a small bit, and if your enemy is in a position that he would ask you for this, you can see that he might already be in your hand, as it were.
