I lived in vegas, back in my young, single days for a computer firm. The hustle and bustle of the, then small but crowded city, made me long for the refuge of mountains and lakes. I would drive up to a special spot, at the top of lake mead. Below me, a family of rams lived in the, once coal mine. I watched the father look out, while mum took care of her small one. Below them all was the crystal, clear, blue lake that seemed to meet the beautiful sky. I would spend hours there, even though it was lonely, because "surely, this is where I am with God".

I am lonely when I leave church. I long for brethren to follow me home, or to stop in during the week for coffee. In a yuppy place, that isn't possible. It isn't like back home in Mass. Most people here work all week and spend family time during the weekends.

Yet, during my most lonely moments is when I also find myself crying out to God, knowing He is there to hold onto me, comfort me and be His friend.

    I loved this entry.
    God Bless,
    Kelly

I love my "alone" time, but as most of you know once you have children, that's kind of difficult. I can so easily get in my car and drive to the mountains for the weekend all alone, but quite simply just can't. it's funny how nature has such a huge impact on my life. In saying that, I love my family time, and would never give up my family to be alone.

Aren;t we humans just the funniest of creatures? If alone, we crave companionship, if surrounded by theones we love, we desire alone time?

    Be blessed
