Hi Annagail,
I really enjoyed your comments and you hit the nail on the head. I work in a Hallmark store and the hardest time is this communion/confirmation when everyone is coming in for "religious" things. A co-worker said, "Linda, you're "religious" what is St Joseph's day?" I replied, "Oh, no I'm not at all religious I'm a Christian, I don't go along with all that religious stuff." She laughed but how sad that we have mistaken "religion" for that relationship, that wonderful relationship with our Creator, Father and Savior. We who know Him know the joy that communion with Him brings and as you said it's as we spend time with Him that we know and can't help but love Him - He who first loved us as unlovely (and still are) as we are. What a great blog today!
Loved the difference between religious and relationship.
I used to be religious - knew all about it but didn't know the Man.
