Well, I was reminded of this by my daughter yesterday, truth be told.
We were driving around. Unfruitfully looking for a specific store I thought I knew the location of. I was wrong. Two hours of driving around, and my eldest commented that she usually would be more cranky, but I let her chatter away, half listening (unlike the good father I should be) and telling her to back off when she would tell her little sister to "shut up" because she kept singing the same thing over an over again.
My wife wants quiet and no distractions while she drives. I accept the fact that my children need to be themselves to some extent and make possibly too great an allowance.
But, I am not listening as well as I should. Yes. I am thankful that the Heavenly Father of us all is not so stingy.
In Truth,
Mel

Mel,
Thank you for reminding me I need to pay attention to my kids as well as I do others.
