Thanks Stuart. The shoes seem a little too big, though. No matter how hard one tries, there is always one place where we come up short. And no matter how you live and how much you strive to let Christ shine through, those around us will look for the failures and focus in.
Write a hundred poems and no one calls you a poet, but tell one lie and you are dubbed a Liar! How then, knowing that we sometimes make mistakes, can we make our reputation sure? How can our smallest infractions be lost, and our greater part of Christ be the focus.
Once a mistake is made, one can never go back and reclaim it. Once a negative "chink" has been magnified, you never get a "do over".
Yet, we strive, pressing on toward the mark.
Thank You Lord, for forgiveness.

Yes Teri its not as simple as it sounds, I think that when we fall, we pick ourselves up & start again. We do not go back to the start, we carry on from whence we fail!

And we fail so that we can learn. Most of my valuable and now imprinted never to be forgotten lessons are those that I learnt from my own mistakes.
And yes, thank goodness we have a forgiving God!

Amen! I enjoyed your message......What a mighty God we serve, when we make a mistake, He forgives. We keep pressing on...Some like to air one clothes out, hanging them on the line to remind you of your past....But say to them who are you talking about, I don't know that person, they are dead....I'm a new creature in Chirst......God Bless....
