It is ironic--I just finished the story of Noah last week, and am now on Isaach and Rebekah. I started at the beginning myself, and learned so much that I must have missed the first time--right down to the rainbow being a sign of God's Covenant with Noah. (How did I even miss that the first time--it is so beautiful?)
God Bless!

And God said. This is the token of the covenant (solemn pledge) which I am making between Me and you and every living creatue that is with you, for all future generations. 13)I set My bow [rainbow] in the cloud, and it shall be a token or sign of a covenant or solemn pledge between Me and the earth.
Genesis 9:12-13 Amp. Bible
Kelly, I agree it is truly beautiful!

Starting with verse 8) Then God spoke to Noah and to his sons with him saying. 9) Behold, I establish My covenant or pledge with you and with your descendants after you. Genesis 9:8-9
I agree it is beautiful !

Just pondering-I wonder how many christians today would not build an ark,if God told them to,for fear of being called "lunatics"?
God bless you

Hum... forget building an arc.... what about just living for Him! God cannot even get us to do that the way we should!!! I looked at this passage last week and noticed something... Noah walked with God because his grandfather walked with God... wonder if there is a lesson there for us all?
Also... look at the time table from Methuselah to the flood... looks like Methuselah could have drowned in the flood! He died the same year of the flood if my math is right.
