22And when he had said this ,he breathed on [them], and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost. (KJV)

So, yes, if you say that they were not 'converted' until they received the Holy Spirit, that would be the answer. However, I am not sure that I link the two so tightly. You may, and I cannot argue, but it is not as I am led to believe.

The Spirit could not be sent until Christ left them. Are we therefore to say that the apostles could not be 'converted' until everything was fulfilled? That linear time way of thinking is the way we see things in the flesh, but I am convinced God is not so constrained.

No, I still stand on the choice to follow Jesus being the key moment for Peter. To argue this too finely could become an excercise in semantics. That is not to say that this is unworthy of being sought out, just that we could strain out a gnat to swallow a camel if we get too deeply enanamoured with our own understanding...

    In Christ,

    Mel

    Hi Mel,
Thanks for the wonderful answers you posted on the question I asked, concerning Peter.
Jesus said, follow me and I will make you fishers of men. True, they straightway left their nets and followed Him.

God bless you and yours, now and always..
    Thanks again.
    With God's Love,
    Lois
