There are no Christian values. There is only God. By God values are values, by the temple gifts are gifts, but God is eternal and not to fix.
A word against The Son, scorning faith in one’s doings, will be forgiven. But blasphemy, ridiculing God, will not be forgiven – whoever blasphemy comes from.
This is a word in The Spirit of God.

Hello Jon,
Thank you so much for explaining those verses to me! You helped so much, and I'm much more relieved now, lol! I'm trying to read each book in the Bible, then read it over, and write down the passages that I am confused over, and I'll post them :)
As for your daughter, I wish her the best of luck! I'm attending Carlos Albizu University, and I graduate in a year, then on to the doctoral program, lol! Psychology is definitely one of those fields that if you don't plan on getting your doctorates, don't get into it, lol! How far along is your daughter in her education?

I guess that I shuld add that I am not setting myself up as an authority or anything. The verses that give you trouble are likely to have given lots of people trouble and have had many good opinions given about them. If they were plain enough for only one view, they wouldn't give you trouble. I'm no expert. I just have answered this kind of question a lot. Some day you might want a good commentary by an expert who can really answer. Then three or four more after that so you can hear different views. Some day ...
