My Dear Sister in The Lord,
This is my first time to this site and I am not familiar with its workings, but I was attracted to the title of your blog. Then when I read todays blog my heart lept with sorrow in your time of sorrow.Don't fear grieving for your friend.Let the God of all grace fill you with comfort. He will I know because I have lost many people in my family and life and I know the pain but I know the comfort. In every death experience the Lord revealed something more about Himself to me during those times of deep pain. Be filled with His comfort. Ask Him for it....
As to the fear you are now experiencing. Remember Jesus is the Lord of Life. His desire is always to give Life. Don't for one moment think that our Merciful Father did not give Donna an opportunity to accept Jesus' Life. You say you never asked her the question. I say that it appears that you lived the life of Jesus before her for many years in your relationship. Did you not pray for her? Well, does He not answer prayer? Believe. She read your life all along. The power of the Holy Spirit is greater than we know. It is His work to reveal Christ into the heart of people. You said you talked about the Lord. Well, she had to process that. Don't limit the Holy One. Your part was to be a Living testimony before her of the Resurrection Life and power of the Lord.
Don't let the devil lay some guilt on you for not having said some certain words and condemn you. If you have fear, the fear is in your fleshly carnal nature, not in your spiritual heavenly nature. And remember, Christ died as you on the Cross. All that you were as a failure died on the Cross when he died. So when Satan tries to get you thinking of your self or failures, agree with him, but then declare the work of Jesus on the cross, His Blood and exalt Jesus. That is the way of victory. The victory is not yours, it is the finished work of Christ on the cross and His victory in our place. What grace, what comfort.
We yield to Him, not our flesh. Jesus Christ is Lord. He knew exactly how to meet Donna whether you did or not. The devil will never be offered mercy...
There is much I could say, but for now this is all. Be comforted in His Presence and rejoice.

    Hi Joy,
I understand your post. Most of us Christians,
have been in the same place as you.
    But we are overcomers.
Thanks for visiting my blog. A blessing.

JoAnn comment is very good, she has given,
you good advise. Great wisdom, thanks JoAnn.

God bless you Joy, now and always...
    With God's Love,
    Lois J.

    Good morning, Joy!
Thank you for your email with the url of your blog sites! Wonderful testimony AND witness you have! And I love JoAnn's encouraging advice to you! I heartily agree with all the wisdom she wrote! I used to be able to talk to everyone, EXCEPT my siblings, about faith in Christ. It seemed that because they all "knew me when," they didn't want to listen to my testimony of how Christ had changed me. So I never came right out and talked to them (other than Mom whom I led to the Lord)... and what feelings of guilt as one after another died without my ever having "talked to them" about eternal matters! However, one day a dear Godly friend gave me the same advice JoAnn shared above!
We "plant the seeds" as God gives us opportunity (whether by our witness -- our lives, or by our testimony -- spoken words); and the Holy Spirit causes hearts to melt and yield so the seeds can grow.
Your posts are a blessing! (Are you ready for a website?!!!)
    serving Jesus with Joy,

Thank you dear friends for your love and encouraging words. I truly appreciate them. When I got burnt and when my husband died Donna told me she was praying for me. I assumed from that she knew the Lord. I was feeling like I needed to ask her outright, however thanks to your words I feel much better and will leave her in the hands of our loving Father.
    God Bless.
    Sharon,
My sister registered me a domain name. It came with a one page website. Someday I will add to it. Thank you for the offer. It is joyful-expressions.info
Take care and God Bless all of you.

    Hi Joy,
I love the advice of Joann above.
But also know that you are a godly example of a Christian woman
and Donna could see the flame of Jesus' love in you.
She knew what it was that kept you glowing so don't fret about what you did or didn't do.
The Holy Spirit was softening her heart and who knows - maybe she did come to the Lord.
Someday you will find out for sure. For now continue to show His love through your blogs, life, etc.
Hugs to you at this sorrowful time! ML
