Have a joyous Veteran's Day, Mel!
Prayer For Veteran's Day
Almighty God, we read with interest while guiding the Israelites You called forth their army. You ordained this institution. You alone numbered them. You equipped men for battle. And when there was peace in the land they had rest.
Once a year we celebrate those on Veteran's day that have dedicated themselves to service in the military and we choose to recognize them and honor them by prayer. Some in our country wear poppies or give our veterans lapel flags, but we choose to pray that they be chosen to receive love and recognition by You.
We pray for all those men and women that have served in our military and have finished their tour of duty. We rejoice that they are now safely home. We know that the majority of them have come home with lives changed. We pray Lord that You continue to guide them and to minister to their needs.
We pray that our country always honors our veterans and provide special service and benefits to them. We pray favor upon them for their sacrifice to the good of our country.
We pray that through their memories and account of their service our younger people may be inspired to follow in their footsteps.
Thank You, Lord for watching over our veterans. We ask Your favor to rest upon these special men and women, through Jesus Christ, our Lord. Amen
