My previous comment was made purely from a thought I had on your sentence about Pontius Pilate when he washed his hands. This was revealed to me by a friend who had a revelation of the Blood of Jesus:
Mat 27:24 When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but [that] rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed [his] hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye [to it].
Mat 27:25 Then answered all the people, and said, His blood [be] on us, and on our children.
HIS BLOOD BE ON US AND ON OUR CHILDREN.
They all wanted Jesus crucified, but when they shouted this out, they had no clue of just what it meant. Are we not covered by the blood of Jesus Christ? Ironic isn't it?

The one thing I think that came out of the trial before Pilate, was his statement, "What is truth?" On thinking this through, I find that the greatest truth to come out is the fact that, "God is love". It comes leaping out from almost every page in the Scriptures as we understand them.
Everything we believe in is founded on that statement, & as Paul writes in Romans 8:27ff
Who can separate us from that?
Now thats Awesome

Jon,
Be well considered and ready for the strange turns it might take, but I'd say go for it if nothing in your faith tells you not to...
