Tim, you have a special place in my heart, but I do think that perhaps you need to give yourself a wake up call. You need to reach some point where you take responsibility for your actions and realise that it's only God who can help you out of this.

You need to forget everything else and start with God. Stop trying to blame Him, but instead take that step forward and start working on the solution. It's only going to work out when you want it to. Stop making God your enemy. I hate to say this, but stop feeling sorry for yourself and get a move on to make things happen. Adjusting your attitude is a good place to start.

I am sorry if this sounds a bit harsh, but you are someone who knows what God is about. Stop allowing satan to make you throw a pity party!

Please feel free to delete this if you want, but know that I have your best interests at heart.

God bless, and I know you can do this.

    All my love, in Christ

Ps - God wants you to rise to the occasion - show Him and satan that you can!

That line of thought should scare you...

Tim, find a smaller promise that God has made. Don't just think about it. Have the faith to claim it, and talk to him about it.

I really feel your pain. But understand what your faith is. It is grasping that which cannot be grasped. It is overcoming doubts.

Certainly I have doubts at times. It is what you do in the face of doubts that defines your faith. You are, even in this dark hour, being refined. Please search for the way to accept that God does this for your ultimate good, for that I believe is the truth.

A small promise to claim for you:

    Matthew 6:25-27 (NIV)

25"Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more important than food, and the body more important than clothes? 26Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27Who of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life?

I'd hope that you could claim more than this small one, but here is as good a place to start as any. Make Jesus your Lord in every breath that you can. Simply do as he asks.

Honestly, knowing nothing of the details, I don't know that what you are asking for is so simple? Is everything in your marriage perfect? I doubt that. If you know a specific problem that you have the faith that it can be healed, ask for that. If all the problems that were in the marriage are healed (and I talk here of all the sin that could still be happening) then would be the time that I, in faith could ask for that one last step that the marriage itself is healed.

This is where I would be if I were in your shoes. One with greater faith could ask more. Ask what you faith allows.

    James 1:2-8 (NIV)

2Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, 3because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. 4Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything. 5If any of you lacks wisdom, he should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to him. 6But when he asks, he must believe and not doubt, because he who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind. 7That man should not think he will receive anything from the Lord; 8he is a double-minded man, unstable in all he does.

    Ponder this:

    Luke 17:4-6 (NIV)

4If he sins against you seven times in a day, and seven times comes back to you and says, 'I repent,' forgive him."

5The apostles said to the Lord, "Increase our faith!"

6He replied, "If you have faith as small as a mustard seed, you can say to this mulberry tree, 'Be uprooted and planted in the sea,' and it will obey you.

Your blog is still among the most popular because a lot of us come here to encourage you and to hope for the healing you seek. We care, but our caring pales in comparison to who much God cares for you.

Remember the cost you were bought with. Believe that you were worth it, despite whatever you may do, and reflect just a little bit of that love back to God. Talk to him, even if it is just to cry out in your pain. Talk to him and he will answer!

    I worry, too

Tim, I agree with what Mel is saying, but the point I was trying to get through was that it is fine for all of us to encourage you and give you scriptures and advice, but if you don't reach some point and act upon something, it will never get better. I encourage you to listen and act on what Mel has said. If I were in your situation, I know I would need someone to pull me out of my self destruction. I trust that you understand where I am coming from.
Fight the good fight and know that we are all fighting beside you. Don't give up hope!
    Stay strong in His strength.
    Yours in Christ

It was good to hear from you, Tim. I will continue to remember you and your family in my prayers.
Tim, regardless of how angry you feel or how hurt you feel, keep holding on to Jesus and cry out to Him!And know that as you cry, He cries with you! Even when you raise your voice in rebellion against him, crying out from your pain, He is still loving you! Nothing can seperate you from His love. NOTHING!
So, be angry, cry, yell...He is still there...loving you!
My prayer will be that above all things, you will walk and continue to live in Him.
    In His Service,
