ya know what, that may be a big part of why church growth seems to be somewhat stagnant. everybody needs a well polished pretty boy speaker that can rattle off messages fluently and with soundbites and covers up well those little things which seperate them from God, and thats not who God uses. Hmm throw in the less than caring attitude that is presented and you see something most of us wouldn't really want to be associated with, let alone a new believer. That attitude though sums up what happens in a lot of churches unfortunatly

That was really good, I will forward it to a friend of mine who is looking for a Pastor!
I remember when I was a young man, "preaching with a view" The head man says I did not listen to what you were talking about I wanted to know if the Spirit was with you!! Needless to say I did not fit his "Profile"
Another Sunday evening much later, I was preaching on Paul's passage being an "Ambassader for Christ", two people sat fairly well forward, gave their lives to Christ that night. Praise the Lord, but at the back sat a man who complained about the version of the Bible I used! He said if I continued to use that version, I wouldn't be invited back. I did not accept anymore invitations to that Church. Grace was there as well as the Pharisees.
