Marsha, I say, Well said! I get highly upset over this. And to see churches having parties at this time of year, it sickens me. I care not that they say it is fall harvest, It is still a Halloween party! What is this saying to our children?

I completely agree with this statement. My husband and I prayed about this and even decided not to pass out candy anymore... Halloween is not of the Lord.

Dear Anonymous,Pam,Sister Lillian,Ross and godschild. Thank you for taking time to post your comments on this subject. Last year at this time I went to a chapel and store. Where it is Christmas all year round. Right when you walk in mixed with the Christmas lights, was carved pumpkin lights to put in your window. Halloween decorations. I know the two do not mix! They are world wide famous for Christmas all year round! As for me and my house we serve the lord. We will not pass out candy. I know some say that is mean. They are the ones who celebrate it...

Marsha give the kids that come a tract or go to pocketpower.org and get yourself some free gospels to give to the kids don't blame them the only thing they know about halloween is that they throw on a stupid costume that mom picks out and people give them candy, and we all know candy makes the world go round. Use the time to share the word maybe you will reach one person, that would be so gratifying

Ross, I'm not blaming the kids! I'm not participating on Halloween! Are you passing out tracts that night?
Have you ever heard them (kids)screaming "Tricks (or) Treats"???
TREATS MEANS CANDY!!!

I finally am getting a chance to comment on your blog. My church offers a haloween alternative party. Has no halloween decorations and no costumes
