Oh bless you, Marsha.. I'm so sorry to read this. I've heard stories like this and can't even imagine it as I was brought up in a very lovely and Godly family situation.
This will take so very long to heal and I hope that by going to the funeral you did get at least a little bit of closure.
I will be praying for you too, Marsha. We'll have to have a party in here next March! And we'll all sing "Happy Birthday"!
Love in Christ and because of Calvary,
Pat

Thank you Pat.
It took me a long time to forgive them.
They didn't ask to be forgiven.
I forgive (forgave) them anyway because of
"Jesus Blood".

I wish that I had your guts. May the Lord bless you and may some other hurting soul find solace in your testimony.
Rest in Him is the sweetest rest that we can know. So rest...
In His service,
Teri

That is huge to be able to say that you have forgiven them. And for exactly the right reason. Jesus said (and its hard to receive at first)"Blessed are those who morn, for they will be comforted". Meaning the comfort will be so awesome, it will be worth the pain.

Zephaniah 3v17
"He will rejoice over you with gladness,
He will quiet you with His love,
He will rejoice over you with singing"
My bible has a truth in action regarding this verse, it says:
Zephaniah contains a beautiful word picture that gives deep insight into God's love for His children. In it, we see the Lord singing, shouting for joy, and dancing over us wih intense love. We no longer need to fear, our God is with us and in us.
I truly hope that this is a blessing to you.
Stay strong and know that you are loved.
God Bless
