Seems pretty clear to me. I think God has seen it in his good grace to explain to me a reason why this is his Will and Law.

Mel, I do NOT think of you as a dimwitted, stubborn old man. I truly am glad for the way that you have not attacked me. I think that you handle yourself with much class and form. It is o.k. if all do not agree with my calling. I am really alright with that, I have been through much worse in my life.
I must continue on, however, with what God has called me to do. Ponder this, if you will: Did the devil trick me into preaching the gospel and leading souls to Christ? Not trying to be ornery, just curious of what you think.
    In His service,

Hey, Mel...I went back and looked at what you wrote about the scripture in Jude... Yes I do see what you see...Looks like a good lesson in wisdom for all of us!
In addition, I feel like I have lost ground since I have been coming to these different blog sites. My spirit languishes over the time that has been put into this age-old debate and the thing that sticks out the most to me anymore is not the joy of fellow-ship. I first felt encouragement when I started reading, now I feel dis-couraged. Certainly, I do not place blame on anyone, but the issue seems to be one that is far too difficult to just leave alone. I have read all of the quoted scripture, all of the opinions, and yet I still don't see God's glory in any of it. Am I guilty of being a hinderance to someone? Am I causing someone to turn a deaf ear? Then perhaps I should take my leave. I hope to someday see all of you in that Heavenly City, but for now I think that I must excuse myself and say good-bye.
If any of you care to...please keep me in your prayers.
    In Christ's love,
    Teri

I am sorry if I caused any discouragement for you. Certainly, that was not my intent. My comment was somewhat sarcastic, and I appologize for any hurt it may have caused you. In truth, the sarcasm was directed more at myself. Let me assure you, you are of no hinderance to me, in fact, I do value your opinion. My thoughts on women as teachers should have absolutely no bearing on you. It only needs to have significance for me. Do not even concern yourself on my behalf as causing me to stumble.

Indeed, we have not given enough Glory to God. I should do so even without a specific reason to do so. God greatly deserves it, and in fact, he deserves it more than we can ever hope to express. I give Glory to God for the little pieces of understanding I have gained. I think your fellowship here also gives Glory to God, even when it is not stated so explicitly. I give Glory to God for the encouragement you have given to myself and possibly countless others who have not ever responded to what they have read here or elsewhere. If you think I am turning a deaf ear, SHOUT at me. I will reiterate: The Word of God speaks on its own authority, and even my children are permitted to talk to me in that way, and they are 7 and 4!!!
    Your brother in Christ,
    Mel
