I feel sorry for Bill Kinnon, to be so cynical. I know the 'church', my fellow Christians who worship the same God as me, are my lifeline. Without my family of believers, I would be lost. They help me through my trials and problems and joys.
Now if you are speaking of the 'church' as a building... a denomination, as such, then by all means look for another building to worship at. There is a wonderful family of believers that is waiting for you to be in their midst. To give up on our Christianity because we feel left out or cynical is ludicrous!
I pray you enjoy your search tomorrow! The right attitude will get you far more than a skeptic mind.

    Hi Jon,
I want to share some of my favorite Scriptures with you.....Think on these things......Philippians 4:8-9 - Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report: if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. v9. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.
I pray you will find joy in your new Church tomorrow.
Thanks for sharing your innermost feelings...
God bless and be with you my dear brother...
    With God's Love,
    Lois

Mary Lou - I sincerely hope that I do not offend with this quote. You have been wonderfully encouraging to me many times. I know you are challenging me now and I thank you for it. The quote is simply what church feels like to me right now.
You church sounds like the fellowship that God intended it to be and I am sure you are thankful for it. The church in the post also exists, unfortunately, and is where it feels like some of us have been for too long.
We haven't given up on God, or Christianity. We just sometimes try to challenge also. I pray that this church, or the next one we try, is the answer to my cynicism or that God will give us the strength and inspiration to carry on where we are.
I hope that hurting isn't wrong, or many of us are in trouble. But I agree that giving up is.

Lois - Thanks, as always. The Way isn't always easy but you guys do make it easier.

You could never offend me Jon.
I just love to be able to express my views freely and I know you do too!
I pray that you found a worshipping, God-fearing, Bible-teaching, fellowshipping Church today!!
It sounds like a lot to ask for but IT IS out there!
God bless you and don't give up the search!
    Your humble sister-in-Christ, ML
