I think what Serola is saying on her blog about works without heart is very valid, and dovetails in with what you are seein here. I also think that it is valid to say that the "human" version of compassion is truely valueless, even though good may be done by it. I go to the Book of James for the view I take, mostly. That good works were created for us is an important distinction to make. It says more than "we were created for good works" which is the wall of human understanding that I think many of us stop at occassionally. The works themselves are the Holy Spirit, working within you and through you, and this process itself, it is very essential for us...

    Hi Mel,
Thanks for taking the time to read my post and
leaving a comment. I know whatever one does or give it must come from a pure heart, full of
God's Love....Yes, the works themselves are
the Holy Spirit, working within us and through
us, so true, very essential for us.....Some have the wrong motive when giving or doing,
they want to be recognized...Don't mean a thing
    in the eyes of God.....

God bless you now and always...
    In Christian love,
    Lois J.
