    God don't Like Cry-Babies

                                                                                        By: Evangelist Chuck Gibson

                                                                                                        Aug. 3rd 2004

    * God dont like a bunch of grumbling and complaining. The Bible speaks against those who murmur and complain about every little thing! God dont like crybabies! (He will always love you; because no-thing can ever separate you from the love of God that is Christ Jesus.

God knows how to separate the sin from the sinner. He hates sin but loves the sinner!

*1Cor. 10: 1-13 With many of them God was not well pleased (He was very displeased)

That is why they were overthrown in the wilderness. It was marked as the wilderness of sin, and many are still wandering around in the mess! They (The Children of Israel) could not enter into Gods rest because of their unbelief. Remember the spies and how that ten of the twelve gave an evil report. Who has believed our report and to whom is the arm of the Lord revealed?

*HEB. 3:7-13 Today, if you hear his voice, harden not your hearts, as they did in the days of provocation God him self, marked those days as days of provocation the days of temptation in the wilderness. They had provoked God to anger through their unbelief. He called it the days of provocation when your fathers tempted me and proved me and saw my works for forty years I seem to recall another wilderness where the Son of God was also tempted. Jesus told Satan however, Thou shall not tempt the Lord your God What,

You forgot?  Wherefore I was grieved with that generation. (It grieved the heart of God)

Thats why he said, They do always err, (Go astray, we all like sheep have gone astray, they are all gone out of the way) they have not known my ways, (They refused to acknowledge the ways of God); so I swear in my wrath (Wait I thought we werent supposed to swear?) He could not swear by any greater than him self, so let your yea be yea and your nay be nay. Let your word be your bond.

*Take heed brethren, lest there be in any of you, a evil heart (a heart full of doubt, and unbelief, worry, (Anything that is not of faith is sin) and fear, (which has torment) having an Evil heart departing from the living God. The three things that drive away from God are doubt (unbelief) worry and fear. These three things hinder our faith (as Paul said, you did run well but who, and if I might add what hindered you?) (Another message) We have already covered the subject of doubt, but please allow me to elaborate just a little. Worry is a simple one. (Yet hard to apply) Believe and receive itdoubt it and do without it! Those who worry tend to waiver in their faith. They are tossed to and fro, like the wave of the Sea, it leads to double mindedness, and let not a double-minded man think that he would receive anything from the Lord! So dont worry be happy! Because honey, God dont like a crybaby! Which brings us to the next negative emotion worry. Worry is another bad one, take no thought for your life (whosoever loses his life for my sake, shall find it) That is Matt.5: 25 Dont worry about, what you shall eat or what you shall put on (like some of us we murmur and complain about not having suitable clothes to wear) Jesus said, which of you, by taking thought (worrying about it or whining) can add one cubit to his stature (one inch to his character, or attitude) Think about that next time you are tempted to worry! Now we have already covered doubt and worry, how about fear? Fear is totally self-defeating. Fear has torment. Many people are bound by fear. Phobias are associated with fear. Fear of not knowing is a big one the fear of dying; this one had a hold on me! O but honey, to know the perfect love of God (which will cast out fear) is to know that God holds the future in his hands. He is a sovereign God, (which means, he is still on throne) Just rest in the knowledge that God is in control, we are not. Hes God in the valley as well as being the God of the mountain, hes the Lillie if your valley, the bright and morning star, hes the fairest of ten thousands to my soul!

    * Let us examine ourselves to see whether we are in the faith or not. Doubting Thomas asked, How can I know the way? How can I know that I am saved? It is blessed assurance, Jesus is mine, oh what a foretaste of glory divine. It is much more than I hopeIm saved! If we have hope only, then we are of all men most miserable! We have so much more than hopewe have Gods word on it! (Back to the message)

*Let us labor therefore to enter into the rest God has prepared for us. We must work, and strive to enter in. Doubt has no place here, worry cannot hinder me, fear cannot control me, because we give no place to the Devilwe resist him and sometimes that in itself becomes a lot of work, and we have to put forth much effort to resist temptation. Often theres a tremendous amount of striving along facing temptations sore, but where could I go but to the Lord?

*Lest any man should fall!!! After the same example of unbelief; (A backslider in his heart is full of his own ways) Paul went on to say, I would not have you ignorant (left in the dark) With many of them God was not well pleased. These things happened unto them as our example. God made an example of them that we might learn from their mistakes. (My teacher once made an example of me in front of the whole class. She caught me chewing gum in class and, made me wear it on my nose) to the intent (His intentions were, that we should not lust after evil things, as they did.

*Num. 14:1-4 Go back to Egypt, (The same example of unbelief is right there) they wanted to return to the mess! God cannot bless you in your mess! You must first come out of your mess before God can bless! They wanted to return to wallowing around in the mire (The miry clays of sin) Return as the true Proverb says, The dog returning to his vomit again The Bible does not pull any punches when it says, any man that takes hold of the plow and looks back, he is not fit (worthy) of the kingdom of God! God wants to save you out of your mess, but there is something we must do. We must keep ourselves unspotted from the world. They had escaped the pollutions (the type and shadow of the

Bondage of sin, they were no longer slaves to the world, as they knew it)*the entire congregation lifted up their voice, and cried (in protest) and, (in conjunction with that) the people cried all night! They murmured against Moses and against Aaron, (the pastor and his assistant, the things a pastor goes through) the whole congregation said unto them, would God that we had died in the land of Egypt Wherefore has the Lord brought us into this land to fall by the sword? Was it not better for us to return into Egypt? And they said to one another (presuming that knew more than the pastor, more than God him self, as if they knew what was best) let us make a captain (a man made leader, such was king Saul; a blind leader of the blind, and will all end up in the ditch together!)

*Moses and Aaron fell on their faces before all the assembly saying, Rebel not against the Lord! (Murmuring and complaining leads to rebellion and rebellion is the same sin as witchcraft) *They picked up stones to stone them. Thenall of a sudden the glory of God showed up, (Touch not my anointed, do my prophets no harm!) The Lord said to Moses, How long will this people provoke me? (Make me angry?) I will smite them with pestilence and disinherit them! And rise up a new nation, not of the seed of Abraham this time, but of the seed of Moses! Which he would make a greater nation of them, mightier than they! GOD DOES NOT LIKE A CRYBABY!

*Now if we look hard enough we can find plenty of things to gripe and as us country folk would say bellyache about, but remember the three things that will hinder your faith. Without faith it is impossible to please God, for he that comes to God, must believe (have faith) that he is (that he exists) and that he will reward those who diligently seek after him. So it is very important to build yourselves up in the most holy faith.

*Many Christians get started on the way, and get shipwrecked, because of the three things I told you about in this message. My only hope and prayer is that somehow you learn to defeat these giants in life, if not they will destroy your faith, and leave you hopeless without God in this world! Dont be a crybaby, be a believer!
