Beloveds, we must clear up the lie that when the Lord told Joshua he would have good success through obeying the Law, that this was meant for Christians today. The Lord told this to Joshua that in obeying the Old Covenant of the Law God would give him success in conquering certain lands and taking these lands for the nation of Israel: Joshua 1: 5 There shall not any man be able to stand before thee all the days of thy life: as I was with Moses, so I will be with thee: I will not fail thee, nor forsake thee. 6 Be strong and of a good courage: for unto this people shalt thou divide for an inheritance the land, which I sware unto their fathers to give them.

Also in keeping the Old Covenant of the Law, (which is all they had from God), he would not face the wrath of God and die as Aaron and Moses did for their disobedience to God in not keeping the Old Covenant of the Law: Num. 27: 12 And the LORD said unto Moses, Get thee up into this mount Abarim, and see the land which I have given unto the children of Israel. 13 And when thou hast seen it, thou also shalt be gathered unto thy people, as Aaron thy brother was gathered. 14 For ye rebelled against my commandment in the desert of Zin, in the strife of the congregation, to sanctify me at the water before their eyes: that is the water of Meribah in Kadesh in the wilderness of Zin.

Moses never preached that the Old Covenant of the Law would make anyone permanently righteous in the sight of God. Here is the truth, preached by our Saviour Jesus Christ: Jhn 5:46 For had ye believed Moses, ye would have believed me: for he wrote of me.

Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.

See Galatians 3, which explains God’s purposes for the Law; and how Jesus Christ has delivered us from it for all time. Feel free to study on your own the numerous verses that fully declare that Jesus Christ is the eternal Saviour and final sole source of eternal salvation for all time for all who believe in Him. See John 14:6.

Anyone willfully claiming salvation based on keeping the Old Covenant of the Law and/ or combining it with the New Covenant of Jesus Christ, or anything else is not considered a Christian according to the Bible.

Gal 2:21 I do not frustrate the grace of God: for if righteousness come by the law, THEN CHRIST IS DEAD IN VAIN.

Gal 3:10 For as many as are of the works of the law are under the CURSE: for it is written, CURSED is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them. 11 But that NO MAN is justified by the law in the sight of God, it is evident: for, The just shall live by faith.

          1Ti. 1:5 Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:6 From which some having swerved have turned aside unto vain jangling;
7 Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor whereof they affirm.

1Ti 1:9 Knowing this, that the law is not made for a righteous man, but for the lawless and disobedient, for the ungodly and for sinners, for unholy and profane, for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, for manslayers, 10 For whoremongers, for them that defile themselves with mankind, for menstealers, for liars, for perjured persons, and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine; 11 According to the glorious gospel of the blessed God, which was committed to my trust.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

CLARIFICATION: God does not give us authority to make rash judgments:

1 Judge not, that ye be not judged. 2 For with what *1. (Krima) judgment ye *5. (Krino) judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye. Matt 7:1-5 (KJV)

God forbids His people to judge as hypocrites. We do not have the authority to Judge as hypocrites: Ro.2:1-3    (also see Ro. 1:18-32 and Luke 6:39-46) Mt.7:1-5 Jesus' statement, "Do not judge," is against the kind of hypocritical, judgmental attitude that tears others down in order to build oneself up. It is NOT a blanket statement against ALL critical thinking, but a call to be discerning .The saints have the authority to judge, but  only RIGHTEOUSLY, Jesus said to expose false teachers (Mat. 7:15-23), and Paul taught that we should exercise church discipline. (1Corinthians 5:12) and trust God to be the final judge (1Corinthians 4:3-5).

(7Deuteronomy 14:8).  Pigs were unclean animals according to God's law. Anyone who touched an unclean animal became "ceremonially unclean" and could not go to the temple to worship until the uncleanness was removed. Jesus says that we should not entrust holy teachings to unholy or unclean people. It is futile to try to teach holy concepts to people who don't want to listen and will only tear apart what we say. We should not stop giving God's Word to unbelievers, but we should be wise and discerning in what we teach to whom, so that we will not be wasting our time. Romans 14:9-11; Philippians 2:9-11).

The bible notes in 1Pe 4:17 For the time is come that * 1.(Krima) judgment must begin at the house of God: and if it first begin at us, what shall the end be of them that obey not the gospel of God? 1Pe 4:18 And if the righteous scarcely be saved, where shall the ungodly and the sinner appear? This kind of  (Krina) judgement, belongs to God alone, and no one except Himself and  those found in Rev.20:4 are given it. Please see definitions at the end of the study.

Although His *1. (Krima) judgment is already working in our lives, there is a future, final judgment when Christ returns (Mat 25:31-46) and everyone's life is reviewed and evaluated. This will not be confined to unbelievers; Christians too will face a judgment. Our eternal destiny is secure, but Jesus will look at how we handled gifts, opportunities, and responsibilities in order to determine their heavenly rewards. At the time of judgment, God will deliver the righteous and condemn the wicked.  With God living in us through Christ, we have no reason to fear this day, because we have been saved from punishment. Instead, we can look forward to the day of judgment, because it will mean the end of sin and the beginning of a face-to-face relationship with Jesus Christ.

We have God's word, and He has given His people authority not to fear the day of *2. (Krisis) judgment:    17 Herein is our love made *  4. (Teleioo)    perfect, that we may have boldness in the day of  :*2. (Krisis)  judgment because as he is, so are we in this world. 18 There is no fear in love; but  perfect  love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made *3.(Teleios) perfect in love. 19 We love him, because he first loved us.

    1 John 4:15-19 (KJV)

Dear saints, no study can be exhaustive, but I pray that mine might also be a piece of the whole cloth. Dearly beloved, rest securely in the love of God, and with the help of the Lord, to be completely resting on Him.

    GOD’S AUTHORITY VS. MAN’S AUTHORITY

    (PART THREE)

Blessed be the name of Jesus our Messiah, Redeemer, Saviour, Mediator, and High Priest over the house of the living God, who was dead and now is alive forevermore. It is He who has forever cleansed us in His own blood and forever purged us from our sins,  along with all who  believe on His name in  hearts and confess this same thing with their  mouths. By His grace, which cannot be earned or merited, He has given us eternal life and the right to be called His children.

God is faithful, true and holy. He alone is worthy of our worship, honor, and praise. He is completely and always faithful, the One in whom we trust alone, and lean on and rely on. Great is the Shepherd of the flock of God, Almighty, invincible, eternal, having all authority in heaven and on earth.

Now saints, we shall continue to look at the claims of those who see themselves as having the power to create their own reality. Through the power of their positive thoughts, and by continually only speaking positive things, they believe that they can create or bring into reality wealth, health, whatever they desire and avoid all adverse circumstances such as poverty, illness etc. Persons who hold these beliefs also see poverty as a curse.

Their focus is solely on gain, not service, but being served in having their desires met for wealth, power, and super health

Beloveds we shall go to the Holy Bible and see if these things are so. God’s word correctly interpreted is our final answer. This is what the Holy Bible has to say about creating with our thoughts:

27  Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? 28 And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: 29 And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? 31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? 32 (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. 33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

    Matt 6:27-33 (KJV)

Here our Lord exhorts us not to be anxious about the needs of the body, that even in this He is our ultimate source. Now holy children some try to use this passage to prove that no Christian need ever work, that our needs will simply drop into our laps. But the Holy Bible is able to show by its own words this is not the case, please note: 2Th 3:10 For even when we were with you, this we commanded you, that if any would not work, neither should he eat.

We are to use our God given physical ability to work to meet our needs, this is the standard for God’s people. We will stop here for now, and the Lord willing I hope to see you here next time. Until then, world without end, the counsel of God stands sure, dear children, and His word rightly divided, is ever our final answer.

2Th 3:12 Now them that are such we command and exhort by our Lord Jesus Christ, that with quietness they work, and eat their own bread. 2Th 3:13 But ye, brethren, be not weary in well doing.

2Th 3:14 And if any man obey not our word by this epistle, note that man, and have no company with him, that he may be ashamed.

2Th 3:15 Yet count him not as an enemy, but admonish him as a brother.

     GOD’S AUTHORITY VS. MAN’S AUTHORITY

    (PART TWO)

Brothers and sisters, I say, again, without any condemnation, we must not allow ourselves to be discouraged or doubt the effectiveness of God’s word based on temporal human actions or behaviors. We are to follow our Lord according to His word, correctly interpreted. According to the word of God we are to walk by faith, and not by sight. Sometimes, we can be tempted to believe and even say that many, or most of the saints have fallen short in some way, but I suspect we do not include ourselves among the “most“..

Yet, holy children, The Lord has a way of straightening us out: 3 And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? 4 Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? 5 Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brother's eye.

    Matt 7:3-5 (KJV)

No one has to go to seminary, or have a library of countless religious books to understand the word of God, although if one does these things, I do not condemn them. However, the Holy Spirit has placed many fine teachers amongst the saints. To be truthful, I am not interested in what seminary they did or did not go to, or whether or not they hold a degree. I use God’s standard: that they study to show themselves approved unto God, workman that do not have to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. The teacher that rightly divides the word of truth for the Lord’s sake, is the kind of teacher that is a great blessing to the body of Christ. Of course, we are also to study , and teach one another to help each other to grow in knowing, following and understanding our God. We also must take the time to verify God’s word, by God’s word, not just blindly accepting whatever someone teaches.

I humbly pray that during the course of this study that our Lord will be glorified, and the saints exhorted and encouraged to love Him more and more. Along the way we shall see from God’s word, why God alone is to be reverenced with a holy fear, and that we need never fear people, situations, circumstances, or events

Dear children of light there are persons today, who claim that through their thoughts and spoken words i.e positive confession, they can create their own reality, and make their desires manifest in reality such as health, wealth or some other things that they might desire. In other words faith is a force and by thinking and repeating only what they consider to be positive, they will create whatever they desire. They also claim that this power makes them like God. Furthermore, they refuse to say they are sick, or any thing of a negative nature, believing that this avoids these negative things ever manifesting in reality. Let us search the Holy Bible and see if these things are true or not. Until next time children of light, praise God continually, for each day His sure coming is drawing ever nearer.

God sees the entire body of believers all over the world and in heaven. All we can see as finite human beings is our own little backyard, and even if we have a big yard it is very small in God’s eyes. Even now countless saints, all over the world are suffering and dying for that worthy Name above all names. God keeps His saints by His power.

Now is come salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of his Christ: for the accuser of our brethren is cast down, which accused them before our God day and night. 11 And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.

    Rev 12:10-11 (KJV)

9 After this I beheld, and, lo, a great multitude, which no man could number, of all nations, and kindreds, and people, and tongues, stood before the throne, and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, and palms in their hands; 10 And cried with a loud voice, saying, Salvation to our God which sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb. 11 And all the angels stood round about the throne, and about the elders and the four beasts, and fell before the throne on their faces, and worshipped God, 12 Saying, Amen: Blessing, and glory, and wisdom, and thanksgiving, and honour, and power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen.

    Rev 7:9-12 (KJV)

Dear friends of Jesus, be strengthened and encouraged, the battle is already won, through Jesus, the Son of the living God.

    GOD

GOD’S AUTHORITY VS. MAN’S AUTHORITY (PART ONE)

All thanks and praise to the Triune God, whose power is invincible, and who is made wisdom unto us, now and in all ages to come. God is always faithful, and by His power has an abundance of saints kept faithful through Him. Sadly because there are some saints who may not be living up to God’s standard, and /or ungodly persons twisting the gospel to suit their own evil ends, some of the faithful at times become discouraged, when they see these things.

Nevertheless, there is no excuse for ANYONE to  slap all the saints and accuse them of wholesale falling short towards God. The Lord says in His word, that whatever you do unto His people you do unto Him. I believe it is terribly insulting to the Lord, to berate and condemn, the whole of the body of believers, because of the actions of a few no matter who they may be. No one who continually condemns the saints as a whole, and accuses God of being unable to keep and grow His saints is on the Lord’s side.

Those who continually condemn the body of Jesus as a whole do greatly err knowing not the word nor the power of God. Dear saints, God does not grant to anyone the power or authority to condemn all His saints, or any saint for that matter.

Beloveds,  we should never determine the effectiveness of God’s word based on our own personal experiences or disappointments, based on what we see, in our own little sphere of life, of course there is room for growth and discipline in the body, we still must walk by faith, not by sight. While we should not be passive in the face of evil, especially when the gospel is being misused, simply complaining is little better than doing nothing about it. We can pray, and be among those who preach the word rightly divided everywhere we can, along with being an example of Jesus in our public and private lives.. The word of God is true, no matter what some ungodly, or ignorant person says or does. In fact the Lord says in His word that though evil shall abound, good shall much more abound.

Next, over the course of this study we will seek to understand and know God's power and authority vs. Human authority and that of the principalities and powers in the spiritual realm, from God's word rightly divided. Until then saints, let us lean on God's word, rather than our own understanding, accepting that God's word is the final answer in all things.
