Wisdom for Teens & Young Adult Children

    Dear Lord,

We ask that our teens and young adult children would look to your word to attain wisdom, discipline, and understanding words of insight.

May they acquire a disciplined and prudent life.  Enable them to do what is right, just, and fair.

Give them prudence, knowledge, and discretion.  Help them to listen to your words, add to their learning, and get discernment and guidance.

Cause them always to remember that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and discipline.  Please give them this fear and reverence of you.  Don't let them ever despise wisdom or discipline.

In the name of Jesus we pray,
    Amen

    Romans 2

    Romans 2

    Dear Father,

May we not pass judgment on others, for when we judge them, we will be condemning ourselves.  Instead, may we be grateful for the riches of your kindness, tolerance and patience, the kindness that leads people to repentance. (1,4)

Don't let us ever have stubborn or unrepentant hearts, and in doing so, store up judgment against ourselves.  (5)  Don't let us be self-seeking, reject the truth, or follow evil.  (8)

In the name of Jesus we pray,
    Amen

    Romans 1

    Dear Lord,

May we never be ashamed of the gospel. Assure us that it is your power for the salvation of everyone who believes. (16)

Don't let us ever be people who know you, but refuse to glorify you as God or give thanks to you. Don't let our thinking become futile or have foolish hearts that are darkened. Don't let us claim to be wise, but actually be fools. (21,22)

May we never exchange your truth for a lie, or worship your creation rather than you, the creator. (25)

In the name of Jesus we pray,
    Amen
