Abraham.
0ne of the most amazing bible stories i think there is,is this one. Genesis.22.verse 2.take thy only son isaac and offer him as a sacrifice i will tell you where.
Abraham adored his only son and no greater sacrifice could there have been that he should have to make. But he did what god had asked him. When god saw how loyal he was he stopped Abraham and told him to take back his son.
verse 17. I will multiply thy seed as the stars of heaven. verse 18. In thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed.

Gods support.
I can remember finding myself saying these very same words then opening the bible at them soon after as though god was saying there is a man who went before you who said the same things and i made him great before his people.
Exodus. Ch 6. verse 30. You know i am a poor speaker said moses why should the king listen to me. Exodus 7. verse 1. The lord said, i will make you like god to the king and your brother Aaron will speak to him as your prophet.
This tells us that how ever hopeless we feel or lacking in the ability to achieve gods wish he is there and will see us through.

JOB .
The story of JoB shows how we can undermine the power of god and his right to withhold things from us. Job complained all the time and thought that he should be honoured by god because he was so good. God finally replied in such a way that left JoB weak and foolish.
JOB Chapter 38. verses 4. Were you there when i made the world? 8.Who closed the gates to hold back the sea. 12. Have you ever demanded a day to dawn. 16. have you walked on the floor of the ocean. 19. Do you know where the light comes from.
JoB was a good man in compared to many but he could not see that he would never be completely free of sin and needed to purify himself before coming to god.

Not always so.
Ecclesiastes Chapter 9. verses.11.12. I realize another thing in this world fast runners do not always win the race and the brave do not always win the battle. wise men do not always earn a living,intelligent men do not always get rich,capable men do not always rise to high posisions. verse 12.You never know when your times as come. Like birds suddenly caught in a trap like fish caught in a net, we are trapped at some evil moment when we least expect it.
A time for everything. Ecclesiastes.Chapter 3. verse 1.Everything that happens in this world happens at the time god chooses.
So why are some people foolish enough to claim they are in control of there life if they were they would never become ill and never die surely they know that.

Seperated from god.
Isaiah. chapter 59. verses.1.2. Dont think that the lord is too weak or too deaf to save you or to hear your call for help. 2. It is because of your sins that he does not hear you, your sins seperate you from god.
So often we hear people say there is no god because he did not answer there prayer and if you told them that they had to come to god in such a way for him to receive them they would not understand.
We ourselves as christians forget some times this when we pray, we are not as pure as we might be, we have hidden things that seem unimportant and not sinful to us, perhaps little things tempting us away from the straight path. It maybe just simply agreeing with some one we know in the eyes of god is wrong just to keep them happy and on our side.
Whatever we must come to the lord clear of all that eats away at us as human beings, tell god about it even if it seems petty and sounds stupid, so that he will receive our prayers and in return answer them.Amen.

My daily bible study program.
I have decided to make this my own bible study program where i can remind myself of parts of the bible both old and new that i find uplifting and enlightning, they will not have to be in a specific order but as i find them. But first i will tell you that some years ago i contemplated suicide there seemed nothing on earth left for me i had tried my best to make my marriage work and so much i had been through i couldnt take anymore. I stood up in Church to sing and a voice like thunder spoke to me, it wasnt a human voice or like anything i had heard before, it told me i was not the coward i felt i was and i was not alone. I told no one but i was happy and i knew whatever befell me from now on i could face because god was with me.
exodus.33.verse 20. no one can see me and stay alive. 22. when the dazzling light of my presents passes i will cover you with my hand until i have passed. 23. then i will take my hand away and you will see my back but not my face. This was god speaking to moses and asking him to do what moses feared he could not without god. The fact that no one can see gods face shows his intense power. Moses shows like all of us he was full of fears and doubts about his ability to achieve what god was asking him to do.
