    Very long awaited blog

    Dear friends & family,
I didn't realize how long it has been since I sent out a blog. Time has really flown by quickly. So, I'll let you in on what has been happening.
Our church in Taiwan is really growing internally. We have some physical grown but I'm most please with what I see on the spiritual front. People are catching onto the need for daily prayer and intercessory prayer. Since the deacons have taken some of the responsibility off of the pastor he has been able to train many of the congregation in the area of intercessory prayer. Pastor tells me that about 17 people have been trained as intercessors. Each of the members have access to large prayer cards that they fill out and the intercessors go to work. The intensity of prayer is great. The needs are equally great. I'm totally blessed.
My Chinese is coming along. On my way back to the States I was able to use my Chinese on several planes. One occasion I was able to translate for a woman who was having a heart attack while in flight. She was from Mainland China. There were many divine appointments as I went back to the States. I was able to speak on six different occasions. Pleope were receptive to what God is doing in Taiwan and the ministry that God has given me. God also provided financially for the trip. I was able to visit with my family and we celebrated my mom's 80th birthday early since her birthday is in November. We had a great and memorable time. While in the U.S. I met up with more than 30 friends and met many new ones. I had many opportunities to share with people about Jesus. I had a wonderful time waiting for a late plane in Las Vegas and shared with a Jewish couple about Jesus. They were interested. It is wonderful to be where God wants you to be.
However, when I came back to Taiwan depression set in. My health was not that good. I spent time talking with pastor. God then restored me and I am no longer depressed. It kind of took me offguard. I was more tired than I had expected. I found that I started to procrastinate. The Lord is showing me more on doing things right away instead of waiting to the last minute. (Sometimes that is my habit.)
Recently the Lord has been showing me more and more what it means to live out my salvation before Him. This is daily victory. I've been meditating on this for the past few weeks especially since I am leading a team to the Philippines for the first time in August. How can we share with those who are needing food for their very existence that Jesus cares about them and has a wonderful plan for their lives? How did Jesus share this with those who were in need? As a result my pastor friend, Chris, from the Philippines is helping out team to prepare money to buy food for the very poor and to share with them about the good news. Please pray for us as we go to the Philippines August 16th. The team will be there for one week. I'll be there for an extra week visiting other churches and exploring the possibility of sending future teams to the Philippines.
Also, please pray for Myanmar (Burma). My friend Mabel is there. Her house church was devistated by the cyclone. If you are interest in giving to rebuild this ministry you can send your money to my church and designate it to the Myanmar fund. The address is: Erling Gospel Center, #381 Han Min Rd. 10F, HsiaoKang District, Kaohsiung 812, TAIWAN. This is not tax deductable. However, I will make sure that all of the money goes to this church. I am hoping to go with one of my disciplees there within the next year. We have a way of getting the finances to them earlier. The money will go to rebuilding the house, for water purifiers, and other necessities. I'll be collecting for about one month. If you give later we will still get the funds to her. There are about 15 people in this house church. Just before the cyclone hit several came to know Jesus. God saved all of them physically from the storm. Praise the Lord!!!!!!
Future plans: 1st Discipleship group has maybe one more year of training. They are doing quite well. They love to pray and worship. Please pray that they will be able to feed themselves and to learn to feed others. They are my main team for the Philippines. 2nd Discipleship group is doing well. God has truly gifted them as givers. He has gifted the first group and prayer warriors and worshippers. The second group are made up mostly of CEOs and other business people. They will go on a mission trip with me to the Philippines at a later date. One CEO thinks that we will be going to Israel by year's end. I'm praying about that. She is looking at more than 100 people going. These people see things in a bigger picture than I. I thought that I and another woman would go to Israel in November. Please pray that I would have God's wisdom on these trips. A 3rd Discipleship group will start at the end of October. Hopefully there will be five churches and their leaders come for this training. One lady is pastor of all five churches. The purpose is to train the leaders that are already in these churches and give them the vision for disciple making. The pastor will by my main interpreter as some of them speak Taiwanese more than Chinese. I'm barely getting along in Chinese let alone in Taiwanese.
Please continue to pray for my health. My blood sugar has been like a yoyo, up and down drastically. If I exercise it really goes down. Yesterday it was in the normal range for the first time in years. However, this morning it went back up quite quickly. This afternoon it was quite high. I'm taking a little bit of medicine now. But I hope to get off of it as the sugars get back into the normal range.
I'm looking forward to my glorified body with the Lord.
Some goals: More people mentored and discipled; more people thinking God's way rather than our human fleshly way; prayer warriors entering the heavenlies and tearing down strongholds; people in positions of authority who really know the Lord and God's ways of doing things.
I feel that I am so privileged and blessed by the Lord to know Him and to have many friends from around the world. If you have any prayer items please let me know. I would like to pray for you.
    God bless you.

    Scripture to meditate upon:

Philippians 2:12,13   12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed—not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence—continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose.

Ephesians 1:12-14    12 in order that we, who were the first to hope in Christ, might be for the praise of his glory. 13 And you also were included in Christ when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation. Having believed, you were marked in him with a seal, the promised Holy Spirit, 14 who is a deposit guaranteeing our inheritance until the redemption of those who are God's possession—to the praise of his glory.

2 Corinthians 6:1-3  1 As God's fellow workers we urge you not to receive God's grace in vain. 2 For he says, "In the time of my favor I heard you, and in the day of salvation I helped you." I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day of salvation. 3 We put no stumbling block in anyone's path, so that our ministry will not be discredited.

Hebrews 2:9-11  9 But we see Jesus, who was made a little lower than the angels, now crowned with glory and honor because he suffered death, so that by the grace of God he might taste death for everyone. 10 In bringing many sons to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the author of their salvation perfect through suffering. 11 Both the one who makes men holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers.
