Sat, Sep 30th - 9:42AM

The wind has died down, my sails are motionless, and I am drifting aimlessly. In a frantic search, my eyes survey my surroundings just looking for one more vessel to help me find my way. There are none.

My heartbeat intensifies. My muscles tighten up. My head is aching. I am tired.

My mind scrolls back to better times and days. I remember the passion of my childhood dreams. I remember the fire that once burned within. With a certain amount of joyous irony, I even remember the pain of lessons learned. I recall visions that stirred me with incredible excitement. Surely, I would change the world, I would make a difference. After all, that is what God called me to. But that was a long time ago....

Now, I am too weary to continue. The passion that once stirred me to great heights is little more than a dim fragment of hope. The fire is now a small dying ember. I am overcome with numbness and the visions are all but forgotten.

Once more I search the vastness of the sea looking for someone to help me find my way. Finding no one, I am resolved to lay back and die.

I feel the sun on my face and view the greatness of the sky. Brushstrokes of white on a blue canvas induce a slight smile to my lips. A small breeze brings a moment of peace and contentment. A strange calm comes over my spirit and a sweet whisper touches my heart.

Now, I remember You.

My dreams and visions were never mine to begin with. My hopes, my ambitions, my burning desire, the passion and love of my heart are You.

How much I have forgotten......how far I have drifted.

I will rise up once again and I will wait for the wind. Surely, it will come and I will be driven.
