    Call to Battle....

    Picture 003

Revolution Ministries wants to invite everyone this coming  2008 year to Sound the Trumpet and to Warn everyone that God's people are going to Battle! This year in 2008 we will be storming the Gates of Hell like never before. I have to speak for my family myself, my name is Brian Cranford and I would like to encourage all to go deeper in God's Word and Arm yourself with weapons to fight the Battles... God Gave me a Quote the other day and here it is.. " You can't be on the Battle Field, unless you have the right weapons, And know how to use them." So that clearly tells me unless you study and arm yourself with God's word... you will become useless when you go to the Battle field. Hosea 4:6 Says "...my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge... you have ignored the law of your God, I will ignore your children."  Does that verse not look like what is happening in the world today? We are quick to tell others what to do and how to live, when our own actions and words tell another story. So I want to challenge everyone to jump into your Bible and study and find out where God wants you to be this year!

    God Bless, Brian Cranford

    Prayer...

    1 Timothy 2:1

    (1) I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men;

    1 Timothy 4:5

    (5) For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer.

"Intercession" is exactly the same Greek word as is translated "prayer" I Timothy 4:5. It has an interesting etymology that instructs us on an important aspect of prayer. The word, a verb, is entugchanein.

It began to appear in Greek centuries before Christ, meaning simply "to meet a person," as if a person would meet another along the way. However, through the centuries, the word took on a somewhat different meaning. Eventually, it meant, not just "to meet," but "to meet and converse." This is natural because, if a person falls in with another along the way, he usually does not ignore the other but strikes up a conversation.

Then, as time went by, it began to take on yet a different meaning: "to have intimate fellowship with the person." To this point, the word describes how to have a right approach to God. In practical fact, it illustrates that we are not conversing with God from a distance. We are so intimately associated with Him that we are His children. This word is describing an intimate family relationship. God is not way off on the top of a mountain somewhere. Even as early as Deuteronomy 30:14, He says, "The word is very near you, in your mouth and in your heart"!

If we are going to have the right kind of fellowship and relationship with God in prayer, we have to understand that we are in His very presence. Looking at this as humanly and physically, this is how He can rub off on us. We are in His fellowship, in His presence. He is not far off. When Christ did gave His life for us, the veil of the Temple was torn from top to bottom, symbolizing that access to God was completely open to Him, and now we have this same access to the Father through Christ. We are right before His throne when we are talking to Him.

However, entugchanein continued to change. The change shows up in the noun form of the word, enteuxis, meaning "a petition to a king." It can be used in the sense of the king summoning someone into his presence or of someone presenting a request to the king. Putting these together, it sugests that we have "intimate access to petition to the king." We do not merely we have intimate fellowship with just anybody, but to the King of all the universe!

We have both privilege and power in prayer. This is where the concept "the power of prayer" comes from. Because we have the privilege to come before the King in intimate fellowship, we have access to His power. It is not that prayer itself has the power, but that we have access to the One who has the power.

This means we have to be extra careful what we ask God: He may give us what we ask, and we will be sorry. Mighty forces can be unleashed when we ask God for things. God's people have a responsibility to ask of Him things that are according to His will.

As a tool, prayer is to be used to accomplish a wide variety of things within God's purpose. It is to be used in regard to the things of this life. God wants us to pray about this life, as in supplying our daily need. However, He will primarily use it, not for this life, but for His eternal purpose, reproducing Himself and creating His holiness in us. His purpose is in preparing us for the World Tomorrow.

    The Night Before....

'Twas the night before Jesus came and all through the house Not a creature was praying, not one in the house.
Their Bibles were lain on the shelf without care In hopes that Jesus would not come there.
The children were dressing to crawl into bed.
Not once ever kneeling or bowing a head.
And Mom in her rocker with baby on her lap Was watching the Late Show while I took a nap.

When out of the East there arose such a clatter.
I sprang to my feet to see what was the matter.
Away to the window I flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters and threw up the sash!

When what to my wondering eyes should appear But angels proclaiming that Jesus was here.
With a light like the sun sending forth a bright ray I knew in a moment this must be THE DAY!

The light of His face made me cover my head It was Jesus! returning just like He had said.
And though I possessed worldly wisdom and wealth, I cried when I saw Him in spite of myself.

In the Book of Life which He held in His hand Was written the name of every saved man.
He spoke not a word as He searched for my name; When He said "it's not here" my head hung in shame.

The people whose names had been written with love He gathered to take to His Father above.
With those who were ready He rose without a sound.
While all the rest were left standing around.

I fell to my knees, but it was too late; I had waited too long and thus sealed my fate.
I stood and I cried as they rose out of sight; Oh, if only I had been ready tonight.

In the words of this poem the meaning is clear; The coming of Jesus is drawing near.
There's only one life and when comes the last call We'll find that the Bible was true after all!

Just One Little Life - A Message of Hope
    Angela Michael • 12/19/2007

The following testimony is an encouragement to let all believers know that if you have faith and persevere and in true Christian love, God can turn around what the devil meant for harm and use it for good.

This is always the hardest time of year to be a lifesaver outside this deathcamp. It was always so special to see pregnant women or be pregnant at this time of year. But sadly, nowadays, children are considered a curse rather than a blessing. Do you realize the first gift that God gave the world was a baby? His name was Jesus. He was born in a manger and died on a cross for our sins so that one day we may live with Him in eternity.

“But to all who received Him, who believed in His name, He gave power to become children of God.” John 1:12.

We met Kelly this past spring; her former boyfriend had requested our assistance in saving his child’s life. It appeared to be a hopeless situation as the overwhelmed mother was unmarried, had one child already, an immature boyfriend, and was pregnant. She felt abortion was her only option. But, we gave it our best shot. Desperate measures were underway. We increased our prayer network and sent a care package to her that contained a post-abortive tract from a young woman who regretted her abortion, a little model of a 10 week old fully formed baby, and a letter basically saying, “Please don’t do it, God loves you and the baby.”

    (Actual letter and picture)

    Kelly,

Please read through these materials. God loves you and your baby. He wants the best for you, and that baby. You can’t get that baby back, it will haunt you the rest of your life. That little innocent baby girl or boy in your womb, is as precious as your little daughter. You can’t get this baby back; many women regret their abortions. There are many people who love you Kelly and want to help you.

    Actual signs:

Children are a gift from GodLet your baby live Kelly

We talked and pleaded with her. We placed several signs around her small town that she would see praying that it would prick her conscience, to let her baby live. The next day “special forces” arrived moments before her scheduled abortion appointment at the infamous Granite City mill. We stood strategically outside this deathcamp. Again we softly pleaded mercy for her innocent unborn baby, as she and an accomplice crossed over enemy lines and were ushered into the abortion mill by lurking staff. We didn’t give up as we know this is a spiritual battle. Intervention team members joined us on the sidewalk as we prayed for divine intervention. After a while, we realized our worst thoughts may be happening behind those bloody cinder-block walls.

Several weeks later, we saw her at the county fair and to our surprise, she was obviously pregnant, Praise God! This past fall she contacted us, apologized for her past behavior, and shared her story with us and took us up on our offers of support and help. She was in much need of encouragement and we found out the father of the baby is not fulfilling his role and responsibility. There are always two sides to a story and a relationship we found out. We purchased a crib, other supplies, and some gift cards and Daniel and the children delivered everything in the nick of time to a very teary eyed and grateful expectant mom.

This past week a beautiful baby girl was born, 6lbs. 4oz. She was so happy and thankful. We praised God for this happy ending.

God has blessed our efforts with 2,570 babies saved since January 2000. How many more little boys and girls scheduled to die could be saved due to lifesavers caring enough to get a little uncomfortable and putting their shoulder to the plow?

Pregnant, confused, desperate, and frightened sound familiar? Over 2000 years ago a young girl named Mary found herself in the same situation, different circumstances. Through the Lord she gave the world its first gift: the baby Jesus. There are many more mothers out there. We should be less worried about what people think about us and more concerned about what God sees of us. Especially when abortionists are considered heroes and the act of abortion is called a blessing.  Women need love, not abortion.

John 14:18-19 “I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you. Before long, the world will not see Me anymore, but you will see Me. Because I live, you also will live.”

Don’t Leave Him In the Manger
What a wonderful time of the year it is, snow falling in some places, school is out for most people, and families getting together for their Christmas traditions. Part of that tradition for so many families has to do with the birth of Jesus Christ. Many will go to Christmas plays at their schools and to productions at their church.

Those services can be so beautiful as we learn more about the story of Joseph and Mary, the angels, and Jesus in the manger. But for many that is where the story ends. We have left Jesus in the manger. He is still this cuddly, lovely little baby and not much more. It is a cute tradition that has meaning during this time of the year, but then it is back to our normal lives.

Jesus is not in the manger anymore. He is not walking around Jerusalem. He is not on the cross. He is not in the tomb either. He is seated at the right hand of Almighty God.

    1 Peter 3:22 says

“Who is gone into heaven, and is on the right hand of God; angels and authorities and powers being made subject unto him.”

He is not just a baby in a manger. All authorities and powers are made subject to Him. No matter how crazy this world may get in the coming days, Jesus is, and will always be, in control.

    John 1:1 says

“In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.”

Again, Jesus is not some baby in a manger: He is God. When you see Him as God, you now look at Him completely differently. You see His power, His glory, His omnipotence, His love, His forgiveness, and His wrath. You don’t see those things when you just see him as a baby in a crib or a manger.

As I heard a pastor say recently, that some people see Jesus as a good rabbi, some see Him as a great prophet, and many see Him as a great humanitarian; but He is so much more. He is God. Do you see Him that way? Do you see the power that He has? Do you realize that you will stand in front of Him and give account of your whole life one day?

    Colossians 1:14-19 says

“In whom we have redemption through his blood, even the forgiveness of sins: Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him: And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;”

Do you see Him as the Creator of the whole universe? You need to see Him that way because that is who He is.

    1 Peter 1:19 says

“But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:”

When you see Him as the perfect Lamb of God who took upon our sin as the only possible sacrifice for those sins, you can never just see him as a baby in a crib.

    Revelations 19:11-16 states

“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.”

Kind of sounds like a little bit more than just a baby in a manger. All you can do is fall down and worship Him after reading verses like that.

We love it when our kids get out of the crib. We love it when they begin to walk, talk, and read. We love it when we can go to watch them play sports and we love it when they are finally old enough to mow the grass instead of just run on it! We love it when they get married and have kids, which will be your grandkids. We love it when our kids get out of their manger.

Remember during this Christmas season that the Jesus you believe in is out of the manger and sitting at the right hand of God. Stay focused on that fact. Remember whom you will answer to for your entire life when you die. Make sure it is the Biblical Jesus that you believe in for your salvation. And since you believe in Him, it is a great time to share that belief with someone. The belief that Heaven is real, Hell is real, God is real, and so is Jesus. The Jesus that sits at the right hand of the Father does not fit in a manger; so don’t leave your faith in that manger.

    Something Amazing

I was talking with a friend who regularly runs “The Way of the Master” evangelism classes. He said that when the class starts there is always a good turnout, but when people realize that they have to actually go out and speak to the lost, he loses about a third of them. He was grieved that it happened, even though he explained that through the class they would learn to share their faith without fear. If those who deserted the battlefield had stayed, they would have found out something amazing. Imagine you and I are standing beside a swimming pool in which there are large chunks of ice. I soberly say, “Two minutes in that freezing water and you will be dead! I dare you to jump in and do a length.” Hopefully, you would have the good sense not to. However, if your two year-old child fell in and began to drown, how long would you hesitate to dive in and save him? Not for a second. But wouldn’t you be fearful of the freezing water? Of course not. Not for a second. That’s the power of love. So, do you hesitate to enter the freezing waters of evangelism to seek and save the lost? Do you listen to your fears? That’s the gauge to the depth of your love.

    Santa Claus and Satan's Cause

The modern-day Santa Claus is an American version of Saint Nicholas, a fourth century Roman Catholic bishop from Asia Minor who was noted for his good deeds and gift giving. This tradition first spread throughout Europe, and then found its way to America by the early Dutch settlers.

Since God's word warns us to BEWARE of tradition (Col. 2:8), we shouldn't be surprised to find the Devil right in the middle of the world's most celebrated holiday. Lucifer's desire has always been to dethrone God and exalt himself (Isa. 14:12-15). He desires worship (Luke 4:7; II Ths. 2:3-4). Perhaps you've never thought of it, but please note how Satan robs the Lord Jesus Christ of His glory by spreading the Santa Claus tradition...

    SANTA IS ETERNAL
A child knows nothing of his beginning. To a child, Santa has just always existed.

    JESUS CHRIST IS ETERNAL
"I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the ending, saith the Lord, which is, and which was, and which is to come, the Almighty." (Rev. 1:8)

    SANTA LIVES IN THE NORTH
Tradition holds that Santa Claus lives at the North Pole, a place ABOVE the rest of us.

JESUS CHRIST LIVES IN THE NORTH
"Beautiful for situation, the joy of the whole earth, is mount Zion, on the sides of the north, the city of the great King." (Psa. 48:2)

    SANTA WEARS RED CLOTHING
Santa wears a red furry suit.

    JESUS CHRIST WEARS RED CLOTHING
"And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God." (Rev. 19:13)

    SANTA HAS WHITE HAIR
Santa is always pictured as an old man with white hair like wool.

    JESUS CHRIST HAS WHITE HAIR
"His head and his hairs were white like wool, as white as snow; and his eyes were as a flame of fire;" (Rev. 1:14)

    SANTA FLIES AROUND GIVING GIFTS
Santa has the ability to defy the laws of gravity and fly around giving gifts to people.

JESUS CHRIST ASCENDED AND GAVE GIFTS UNTO MEN
"But unto every one of us is given grace according to the measure of the gift of Christ. Wherefore he saith, When he ascended up on high, he led captivity captive, and gave gifts unto men." (Eph. 4:7-8)

    SANTA IS COMING SOON
During the Christmas season it is emphasized over and over that "Santa is coming".

    JESUS CHRIST IS COMING SOON
"He which testifieth these things saith, Surely I come quickly. Amen. Even so, come, Lord Jesus." (Rev. 22:20)

    SANTA IS OMNISCIENT
Children are taught that Santa "knows when you've been good, and he knows when you've been bad".

    JESUS CHRIST IS OMNISCIENT
"The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good." (Pro. 15:3) "And Jesus knowing their thoughts said, Wherefore think ye evil in your hearts?" (Mat. 9:4)

    SANTA IS OMNIPRESENT
Santa must be omnipresent, because he has the ability to visit over a billion homes in a twenty-four hour period. That's over 1100 per second!

    JESUS CHRIST IS OMNIPRESENT
"For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." (Mat. 18:20)

    SANTA IS OMNIPOTENT
He has the ability to carry presents for over a billion children.

    JESUS CHRIST IS OMNIPOTENT
"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth." (Mat. 28:18)

SANTA HAS SPIRIT HELPERS CALLED ELVES
Webster, 1828: "ELF...a spirit, the night-mar; a ghost, hag, witch"

JESUS CHRIST HAS SPIRIT HELPERS CALLED ANGELS
"Then the devil leaveth him, and, behold, angels came and ministered unto him." (Mat. 4:11)

    SANTA - SANAT - SATAN?

Sanat Kumara is worshipped by some new age groups as God. H.P. Blavatsky, the mother of the new age movement, said on page 350 of her book, The Secret Doctrine, Vol. 2: "The name isn't important. It is the letters". "Santa" has the same letters as "Satan"! According to G.A. Riplinger, "Ole Nick" is listed as the name of a fallen angel in the Dictionary of Fallen Angels. (New Age Bible Versions, Gail Riplinger, pg. 53)

Friend, don't glorify Satan by giving the glory and attributes of Jesus Christ to Santa Claus! Santa is a COUNTERFEIT GOD, and you are honoring Satan when you teach your children to believe in Santa! Christians should teach their children the TRUTH. We should glorify God by teaching our children about Jesus Christ and His saving grace!

    The Difference

Have you ever read about the Church in the Book of Acts, and deliberately compared it to today’s church and its agenda? There is a huge disparity. When the Holy Spirit was given, they didn’t stay for a further time of worship in the Upper Room--they immediately preached the Gospel to the unsaved, as they had been told to (Mark 16:15, etc). Every corner they turned, they reached out to the lost. Perhaps the difference between the modern church and the early Church is that they were “eternity-minded.” That's what happens when someone comes to true repentance and faith in Jesus. He says "Not my will, but Yours be done." The modern church lives for the present. It is concerned with itself and what it can get from God. You just have to watch Christian TV to see that. It is in essence saying, "Not Your will, but mine be done." So few are horrified at the fate of the lost. May God awaken the millions who sleep in such a spurious state within the Church.

    Arizona Atheist

<< Hmmm... interesting post. Well, what if the christian is wrong? What if allah is the one true god? Then the christian is just in as much trouble as the atheist. But since these imaginary people don't exist, no one has to worry about any of that anyway :- ) >>

Dear Arizona Atheist, I don’t believe you exist. I don’t believe anyone wrote your post. That may sound stupid, but that’s what the professing atheist does. Let me explain by quoting from a new book I have coming out in three weeks called, How to Know God Exists:

    The DNA Factor

Think for a moment if you could ever believe that the book you are holding happened by accident. Here’s the argument: There was nothing. Then paper appeared, and ink fell from nowhere onto the flat paper and shaped itself into perfectly formed letters of the English alphabet. Initially, the letters said something like this: “fgsn&k cn1clxc dumbh cckvkduh vstupidm ncncx.” As you can see, random letters rarely produce words that make sense. But in time, mindless chance formed them into the order of meaningful words with spaces between them. Periods, commas, capitals, italics, quotes, paragraphs, margins, etc., also came into being in the correct placements. The sentences then grouped themselves so that they related to each other, giving them coherence. Page numbers fell in sequence at the right places, and headers, footers, and footnotes appeared from nowhere on the pages, matching the portions of text to which they related. The paper trimmed itself and bound itself into a book. The ink for the cover fell from different directions, being careful not to incorrectly mingle with the other colors, forming itself into the graphics, title, and author name. There are multiple copies of this book, so the book then developed the ability to replicate itself thousands of times over. With this thought in mind, notice that in the following description of DNA, it is likened to a book:

If you think of your genome (all of your chromosomes) as the book that makes you, then the genes are the words that make up the story…The letters that make up the words are called DNA bases, and there are only four of them: adenine (A), guanine (G), cytosine (C), and thymine (T). It's hard to believe that an alphabet with only four letters can make something as wonderful and complex as a person![1]

To liken DNA to a book is a gross understatement. The amount of information in the 3 billion base pairs in the DNA in every human cell is equivalent to that in 1,000 books of encyclopedia size.[2] It would take a person typing 60 words per minute, eight hours a day, around 50 years to type the human genome. And if all the DNA in your body’s 100 trillion cells was put end to end, it would reach to the sun (90 million miles away) and back over 600 times.[3]

    Another Gunman

20 year-old Robert A. Hawkins got his wish. He became instantly famous--known for murdering nine people, and then committing suicide at a mall in Nebraska. Once again, experts will profile the killer to try and figure what drove him to do it. Here’s his profile--nice guy, friendly, not violent, was funny, broke up with his girlfriend, was quiet until you got to know him, had bouts of depression, and had lost a job. He sounds like the average American with the usual problems that are faced by millions. So why did he go on a murderous rampage? Here’s the answer--he didn’t fear God. Had he feared God, he wouldn’t have as much as hated another person, let alone kill nine people for no real reason. When life hurts and you want to lash out at this world, if you don’t believe that you have to face a holy God, then why not do it? You are just glorified primal sludge with no purpose for existence, so why not go out with a bang, and take a few with you and at the same time become famous?

As Christians we need to faithfully preach the fear of the Lord, and we can best do that by opening up the Commandments as Jesus did. We must speak of Judgment Day, never hold back from preaching the reality of Hell, and of a God that even sees our thought-life, all from the view of absolute holiness. That will drive sinners to the cross, and that’s where the sin that drives sinners to murder is dealt with in a heartbeat. There, at the foot of a blood-stained cross, God gives us a heart that loves righteousness and loves our neighbor as much as we love ourselves.
