Jesus Loves the Little Children
Matthew 18:10 - Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones; for I say unto you, That in heaven their angels do always behold the face of my Father which is in heaven.
I heard on the news today about another mother murdering her four year old adopted child. These children are so innocent and yet they fall prey to such evil. Jesus loved children. He said, "Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not; for of such is the kingdom of God." (Mark 10:14) Pray for these children who suffer in silence and pray for the souls of their abusers.
Till next time - God Bless!

Something Beautiful
Psalm 90:17 says "And let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us: and establish thou the work of our hands upon us: yea, the work of our hands establish thou it."
What is beauty? The dictionary says "a quality that pleases or delights the senses or mind". It is often said that "beauty is in the eyes of the beholder".
Let us daily strive to let the beauty of the Lord be upon us and remember that when he looks at us he looks at us through the precious blood of His Son, and no matter if we are old or young, fat or thin, tall or short, we are beautiful in His eyes. We should reflect the beauty and love of God outward for all the world to see.
Till next time - God bless!

Love
Happy Valentine's Day!
In John 15:12, Jesus says "This is my commandment, that ye love one another, as I have loved you."
How does Jesus love? Jesus touches the untouchables, comforts the comfortless, loves unconditionally no matter what we do. The compassion of Jesus is beyond belief. John 15:13 says "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends". And in John 15:14 Jesus says, "Ye are my friends, if ye do whatsoever I command you."
Oh, to be the friend of Jesus. To be a man or woman after His own heart. Look at the people around you. Ask Jesus to let you see them through his eyes of compassion and not our eyes of flesh. Show your love to others, not only on February 14, but everyday of the year. Let everyday be a spiritual Valentine's Day in your heart.
Much love and God bless!

And it came to pass...
A favorite way to start scriptures in the Bible is "And it came to pass...". Luke 5:1 says "And it came to pass, that, as the people pressed upon him to hear the word of God, he stood by the lake of Gennesaret."
Christians, as well as others, are going to have problems in their lives. But when problems come, remember any of the verses that begin with "And it came to pass..." (eg Luke 5:1, Luke 5:17, Matthew 26:1.)
All these things that concern us and we feel like we cannot handle them, just remember that "it came to pass" and not to stay.
All these trials too will pass away and if we walk strong through them, we will emerge on the other side victorious.
God Bless!

Peace
And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Jesus Christ. Philippians 4:7
Peace...such a small word to cause so many problems. Just think of all the wars fought so that we can have peace. True peace, the kind that will let you sleep at night without fear, can only come through Jesus Christ. I am reminded of a story that I read when I was a child. I don't know the author, but maybe they won't mind me using it.
A farmer hired a young man to help on his farm. When he interviewed the young man about his qualifications, all the youth would say is "I can sleep in stormy weather." This puzzled the farmer, but because he badly needed help, he hired him any way. One night a severe storm came up, and the farmer was awakened by the wind howling and rain lashing the windows. His first thought was of the barn and his animals. He ran to the young man's room and shook him. "Get up!" he said. "We have to make sure the animals are safe." The young man slept on even though the farmer called him more than once. Concerned, the farmer ran to the barn, not even stopping to put a coat on. When he got to the barn the first thing he saw was the barn door securely latched and all the animals safe, warm, and dry within. Then the young man's words came back to him. "I can sleep in stormy weather."
The young man had no fear because he had peace in his heart and he knew he could do a good job for the farmer. Let Jesus give you the kind of peace that will let you sleep in stormy weather.
God Bless until next time.
