watching Oprah

Watching Oprah show on channel 6, its about the school she has buit in Johanburg. Looks really interesting. She is a very giving person and I think she give from the heart,knowing God has givin her the ablities to get where she is now,and gives back to those who need.Any thoughts or comments?

Good evening all

Its a cold snowy/raining/sleet yucky kind of day. Did a few things arounf here and spent way to long on puter,but have been reading through several chritian sites, so it was not wasted time. In reality it has been a day spent reading and spending time with God so it was a great day!

I have christian women online magazine in my bookmarks, stories, testominies, blogs etc.

Blair from oh no foget name of show, it was teenage girls in boqrding school, Blair was the rich one, then there was Joe who lived up to her name being the rough, tough tom boy. Any how she had a blog, does stories, write books now. She has 3 kids and married to  Minister. It was very interesting,hopefully you will remember the show and know who I am talking about.

Well heres anouther interesting tidbit from the Bible

The word Christian is only mentioned 3 times in Bible

Discipleship(student learner) is 226 times i New Testement

Disciple is mentioned about 30 times

One of the Bible studies I have been doing not the one Lois sent (Love that one) I had sked about hearing from God, well I  got this answer back

God does not talk toanyone directly today just thru the world(Bible)Remember the old Testement is no longer binding on us, we are bond to the New Testment

Hello from Jersey

Happy sat all.

Just a piece of sharing info here. For some time  was a little uncertain about speaking in tongues. I ws still under the impression that it was something that Jesus and his disples did as they traveled across country so what ever  they could converse in that language and they would be able to ubnderstand.

Stopped at the bible book store,I have neverbeen in there without finding something I really find interesting and useful, sometimes just the pleasant conversation. Think the only other place I injoy this much is Joannes Fabric,

Any how I found this small book "Why Tongues" by Kenneth Hagin. It was so interesting and had many Bible passages that completly explained it all and  now I completly understand it is a "now" thing.

Boy do I enjoy running thriough the blogs  here

Good evening all

Waiting to see how many snowflakes is going to fall in our front yard. The wether men are bouncing rain,frezzing rain, or maymaybe a few inches.

Sent my first Bible lesson out this morning,Good thing theres a lot of good sites to read and think about here. Acuall think I will run through profiles in here.

Grandson 15, just gave his first love a build a bear for Valentines Day, he wouldn't show it to any of us. He did it this weekend when he was with his dad. Oh so long ago most of us had our "first love" Think since he lives here when she /he breaks it up for greener pastures I'll a trip somewheree FAR away.She left holding the box to her chest and a smile that could light up a major city

hought I pop in and say hello hoping all of you are having a good weekend.

Thought I'd share a great report with you. My daughter and granson moved back home a couple months ago, She is going to school full time for her teaching degree, started 2nd semester in Sept.

Well to be honest I was mixed with emotion. At first things were fine, she was always helping out around here, then then things have started to get a bit well not bad but 2 familes living in same house can razzel nerves sometimes.

I told God then that I was unsure of it but if this was his doing I would accept it and do the best we could. Really we have no majjor difference. Just a bit of attitude , it is hard for her to be home with parents again and her 15 year old is used to being the 2 of them. Well the report is last night I really had a chat with God and asked him to surround this house with angels, keep satan out because he was causing attitude and bad moods nad it was no way for me to show a christain attude and love with friction. Well today moods were good. I can sure tell he was listening and surrounding this house with his love.

Well gonna check out some e-mail and run through a couple of sites. Have a good weekend

The weekend here

Well made it through the first 2 days back qt work,wheeeee, the toe is a bit sore, though not really painful. Yesterday I worked 4 hour, today 6. Gotta get used to staqnding again, concret floors and it has been really cold in there.But then I can be thankful that I don't do outside work,brrrrrrr

Are any off you in upstate NY with all that snow??

Upstate New York is my fav place, we have went to Lake George and nearby towns for the past 8 years. I just love it,Maybe someday we will live there,yea right, gotta  wait for my rich uncle to get out of poor house cause my ship sunked.

There is no work up that way for Bob, and he was 60 this past Sept, been in iron and structural steel for  over 30 years may be a bit late in life to lookfor a new carrerr

I could get work up there easily, being a professional seamstreee, having own buisness,worked 10 years in food store,office,meat,produce and cashier right now I work outside 4 mornings a week for a friend who owns bar/rest. i work in kitchen.

Gonna run through mail, hopefully finish this first set of Bible study and then

gee really don't know maybe run around a couple of my christian sites and go sleep.

All have a safe and good weekend with family and friends and most important with God

Just a note to say hi and let you qll know it's FREEZING here in Jersy. Don't think it has been out of 20's all week. Just a few weeks ago it was hitting 70 and mid 60.

Tommor I go back to work, been out since JAN 1, worked that day, had foot surgury on Jan2. I only work outside 4 mornings a week, 20 hours a week. About 3 years ago a friend who owns a bar and rest asked me to help out a few weeks,hmmmmmmmm one of us can't count. Have known them for several years and he was a  very generous person when I was working  volunteer at the projects. He gave me food for the whole month of Aug for breakfast for the kids, egg,sos,bread, butter etc. He said if I was willing to fix it and feed the kids he would provide all food. How do you say no when there are hungry kids and food being supplied. They are very generous he has donated sodas,paper products etc to the church on several occasiond when I sked him.

Been working on Bible study, it sure does keep you reading, backtracking and rereading, it is really fun though.

Hearing God instructions

For a while now i have known that God was trying to tell me something,but like so often we try to figure it out ourself.

The  other day I was in work room sewing,baciasally a blank mind, (imagine thathhe) like a thought going through mind very quiet and natural I heard complete your Bible studies, get degree, in 5 years you will at a age that you will be going to nursing home,high rises and hospitals spending time with both elderly and young.

For many years years now I have been doing things with local nursing home,making afgans, lap robes, slippers, sent to St Judes on occasion, and my best friend lives in assited living, and have done work(sewing) for other high rises here in town. 2 summers volunteered to work with kids in projects, teaching them lessons,sewing,quilt, hqd resure squad, fire dept,police and mayer out to  spend time with them and show them how things are done and they are there to help. Shame is some of theses kids only see police while parents,brother etc going in hancuffs, or squad members for ffights and overdoses. I wanted them to see they are "good helpful guy with kids,family pets just like us.)

The voice was so clear like a thought but so calming and caring, I know it was God!!!!!!!I don't even "think,talk, in my mind like this)and hey now I evn know in 5 years I will still be geting around with resonabile health.

Kinda cold here in Jersey today,partly cloudy and really getting colder this week, low teens BBRRRRRRRRRR.

Supper bowl activities are on and the game will start in a bit. Think I will go in work room, do some sewing and then maybe study.

Good evening all

thought I would drop inand say hi,Had a good dAY, visited with a great friend, even though we live about a mileawayseems we never get much visit time, talk daily on phone,occasionally an hour for a quick coffee break.

Today I am finally beleiving that God has told me what he hs been trying   to tell me but guess I forgot to stop and listen. More on that in near future. Right now grandson is sitting about 3 feet from me practing his quiter.,any one ever try to think with a 15 year old practising,hehe

Just was watching the tortonda in Flordia, how said.

Had a really nice chat with Lois and finally figured out how to get Brenda on list,Louis says she is really nice and look forward to chatting with her

Gonna head  toward nite nite ville, all have a great and safe weekend
