The church is we who pray, not where we pray

a structure of bricks or marble can no more be a church

Than one's clothes of wool or satin can be the person

There is in this world nothing sacred to God but man

No sanctuary of God, but the soul.

Lots of people try many different keys but only ONE KEY will unlock Heaven's Door. The Bible says it is so simple to have this key that even a child can get it! In fact, it says 1 John 5:13 "These things were written so that you may KNOW that you have eternal life". According to the Bible WE CAN KNOW FOR SURE that we have the key to Heaven. That is why the Bible was written! You see, HEAVEN IS A FREE GIFT! Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death, but the GIFT OF GOD is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". Everyone knows what a gift is right? So, therefore, HEAVEN IS NOT EARNED OR DESERVED. Ephesians 2:8&9 "For by grace are you saved through faith, and not of yourselves. It is the gift of God, NOT OF WORKS so no man can boast." We can do absolutely nothing ourselves to get us to Heaven. To understand why Heaven is a Free Gift we just have to look at ourselves. The Bible says MAN IS A SINNER. Romans 3:23 "For all have sinned and come short of God's glory". So what is sin? Sin is anything we say, think or do that is against GOD'S STANDARD. Even things we don't do that we know we should is sin. And you know what? His standard is perfection! Matthew 5:48 "Be perfect even as your Father in Heaven is perfect". We sin when we break God's commandments. So you can see that MAN CANNOT SAVE HIMSELF by his own good works. Psalm 51:5 "I have sinned and done wrong since the day I was born". We could never be good enough to get to Heaven by our own good deeds. We could never be perfect. In fact, even if a person could keep from sinning from this moment on he's already blown it because he has sinned at least ONCE in his lifetime. That's all it takes! Right? One blotch on the record keeps it from EVER being perfect! You may be thinking....can't I just outweigh the bad things I do with the good things? Won't God accept my effort? Won't it all just balance out in the end? No. If you have sinned even once you are not perfect. And you can never undo what you've done. Remember, God's standard to get to Heaven on our own merit is to be perfect. GOD IS MERCIFUL therefore He doesn't want to punish us. 1 John 4:8 "God is love".God loves us so much and He wants us to be in Heaven with Him. That is the ultimate love. He didn't make us puppets and force us to love Him. He gave us a choice to choose him or to choose to ignore him. But GOD IS JUST and must punish sin. Exodus 34:7 "He will by no means clear the guilty".God does not grade on a curve. He is fair to everyone alike. He doesn't love some more than others. He treats everyone exactly the same. Therefore, the punishment for sin is the same for everyone. So....you might think God has a problem right? He loves us but must punish our sin. Well, God solved this problem in the person of Jesus Christ. Who is Jesus?JESUS IS THE INFINATE GOD-MAN. John 1:1,14 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God and the Word was God, and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us". The Bible says Jesus was fully God and fully man. Why did Jesus come to earth? He came so that He could die on the cross for us and rise from the dead to PAY THE PENALTY FOR OUR SINS and to purchase a place in heaven for us which He offers as a free gift. And how do we receive this free gift? The Bible says we receive this gift by FAITH. Repentance and faith is the KEY to Heaven. What is faith? Well, let's look at what faith is not. Faith is not just knowing something in your head like facts and figures. And faith is not something that is temporary, like praying to get well, but once you are well you forget about God until the next time you need Him. Saving faith means repenting of your sins and turning to follow Jesus. It is the kind of faith you need to get to Heaven. It means instead of knowing facts about Jesus you are TRUSTING Him as your only way to Heaven. It isn't a temporary faith it is permanent, longlasting, eternal. Acts 16:31 "Believe (trust) in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved." Repent and turn and follow Jesus. He will forgive your sins and come into your heart. Your Decision
