BELIEVE

"...Sirs, what must I do to be saved?  And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved.."

Acts 16:30b - 31a

There are those who have been deceived into believing that they are saved when in reality they are not.  They will quickly tell you I believe on the Lord Jesus Christ.  Do they realize what it means to believe? There is a difference in HEAD FAITH and HEART FAITH.

WHAT IS MEANT BY "BELIEVE"

To "believe on the Lord Jesus Christ" means more than believing the historic facts concerning Him. This is what many people believe, the historic facts about Jesus Christ.  To believe on Christ "unto Salvation" means to rely on Christ ALONE.  It is not "Christ AND the Church," or "Christ AND baptism," or "Christ AND my faith."  It is not "Christ AND" -- anything else !  It is TRUSTING Christ ALONE.  It is to DEPEND on Him, to definitely and deliberately RECEIVE  Him.  It means to TRUST Christ ALONE so utterly and completely that if He should fail - there is nothing left.

JESUS THE ONLY WAY, TRUTH AND LIFE

"I AM THE WAY, THE TRUTH, AND THE LIFE.  NO ONE COMES TO THE FATHER EXCEPT THROUGH ME"  John 14:6

Each one of us have most likely experienced some disappointments in life. 

 I believe it is how we react to those disappointments in our lives that will shape us for NOW and in the FUTURE.

Life is full of disappointments people will let us down , even circumstances causes disappointments

When it comes to religion there are many who are following religions that will lead to ultimate disappointments.

The reason is they are not based on Christ and His Word, they are false and will not lead to a real relationship with Christ

That will save you , nor lead to eternal Life.

We must not be fooled by those who teach another way to God

Jesus Christ is man's only hope

Will you trust HIM as Savvior as the ONLY WAY TO GOD?

Believe in your heart and pray this prayer to find the way to life:

Oh God, It is written in Your Word that if I confess with my mouth Jesus as Lord and believe in my heart that You have raised Him from the dead, I shall be saved.  Therefore, I confess that Jesus is my Lord, I make Him Lord of my life right not.  I beliewve in my heart that You raised Jesus  from the dead.  I renounce my past life with Satan and repent of sin.

"I thank You for forgiving me of all my sin, Jesus is now my Lord and Savior, and I am a new creation.  The Old things have passed away.  Now all things have become new in Jesus' name.  AMEN

ACTS 2:38

An elderly woman had just returned to her home from an evening of Church services

When she was startled by an intruder

She caught the man in the act of robbing her home of its valuables

And yelled, "Stop! Acts 2:38!

"(Repent and be baptised, in the name of Jesus Christ so that your sins may be forgiven.")

The burglar stopped in his tracks.

The woman calmly called the police and explained what she had done.

As the officer cuffed the man to take him in, asked the burglar,

"Why did you just stand there? All the old lady did was yell a Scripture to you."

"SCRIPTURE?" REPLIED THE BURGLAR

"She said she had an axe AND two 38'S!"

PASS THIS ON TO SOMEONE WHO NEEDS A LAUGH TODAY

Remember knowing scripture can save your life in more ways than one.

FACIING A NEW YEAR

Another year has dawned and we may not know what awaits us. 

 The path may be untroded and we may not be able to see ahead. 

 Yet, I know that our hearts should not fear.

  Even if the path is dark or light, smooth or rugged, we do not have to fear

 because we have someone that promised to be with us, even to the end of this age.

He has given us a guide to lead the way

We shall be led aright for we have the Holy Spirit as our guide.

We do not know whether our pilgrimage will be short or long

We can daily praise the Lord for all His benefits

As this year roll onward  We will daily be mindful of His divine grace

The Lord shall be our strength and stay

While we sojourne here below

He will supply our every need always, so His Word assures

So with joy let us greet each day with thanksgiving

And the year will be filled with grace to face another year.
