PAT ROBERTSON: ABOUT DR. M. G. “PAT” ROBERTSON

PAT ROBERTSON TEACHES ETERNAL SECURITY OF THE BELIEVER:

I have walked with God for nearly thirty years, and for the last twenty-five years or so, I have never even thought about the possibility of losing my salvation. It just is not a reality for me at all. The reason is that I live for the Lord. The thought of doing otherwise just does not occur to me. Do I commit acts of sin? Yes. Do I fail God? Yes. Are there things I should do that I do not do? Yes. I need the cleansing forgiveness of the Lord constantly. My concern is that I realize God's purpose for my life and that I do not fall short of what He intends for me. But as far as losing my salvation, it just does not come up for me, nor should it for any sincere Christian.

The Bible tells us that the gifts and calling of God are without repentance (see Romans 11:29). The work of Jesus Christ is eternal. It will never be revoked. Apart from the Bible, the greatest assurance any Christian has of eternal security is the day-by-day witness of the Holy Spirit in his life that he is a child of God and the fact that day-by-day he is becoming more like Jesus.

The Bible teaches security in the Holy Spirit and in the things of God. Jesus said, "My Father, who has given them to Me, is greater than all; and no one is able to snatch them out of My Father's hand" (John 10:29). So we are secure in the hand of God, and we are to rest secure in the Lord. God has put His Spirit within us; He has given His Word to us. Jesus Christ is at the right hand of God, constantly making intercession on our behalf; (see Hebrews 7:25) and God has sent angels to watch over us (see Hebrews 1:14). In other words, we are surrounded by tremendous helps. We should constantly remind ourselves that we are secure, that God loves us, and that we belong to Him.

"I believe that once I am saved, I am always saved, so I am going to go out and commit adultery and steal and lie and cheat and rob," is being very foolish. If somebody really loves God, those things would not be present in his life.

    Pat Robertson teaches on cults

Invariably, a cult will put something else on an equal footing with Christ. It will have a ritual that is equal to Christ, or it will have a doctrine equal to Christ, or it will have a leader who is equal to Christ. In other words, even if it acknowledges Christ as Savior, it will say that you need something else before you can get into heaven. Cults teach that salvation comes through Christ, plus their little unique way.

A final mark of a cult is the unwillingness of the leaders to let the people grow up. A true shepherd will do everything he can to bring Christian people to maturity as quickly as he can. He will not seek to avoid necessary teaching, nor will he try to keep people from maturity. Many cults perpetuate spiritual dependence so that their followers lose the ability to make independent, rational decisions. Often techniques of brainwashing are used to create robot-like behavior.

This is satanic doctrine. In sharp contrast, the Bible teaches that Jesus came to earth as the Godhead incarnate. NIRV Brutally Attacks the Godhead and Deity of Jesus Christ Look how the Devil has messed-up the Word of God in Colossians 2:9, attacking the Godhead and Christ's deity...

NIV Translators Are Ok With Worshipping Satan, But Not Jesus!

    1. The NIV "Bible"? Satan's Masterpiece! By Pastor David Martin

    christianchat.com/bible-discussion-forum/the-niv...

The Satanic Role Reversal Promoted by the New International Version Now, to really top it off, make note of the outright blasphemy contained in the NIV regarding the Lord Jesus Christ Himself. The translators gave the name of the Son of God to the devil and downgraded Christ to the level of a false god!

    SALVATION IS NOT CONDITIONAL

God and people everywhere understand what eternity and forever means, but not false teachers who have the nerve to call God a liar and say that His free gift of salvation requires Christians to stay saved by their own works of righteousness when God plainly declared for all time.

The New Covenant:  Heb 8:12 For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.

The Trinity was not created, but always existed with no beginning and no end. God the Father, God the Son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit work together in salvation: God calls all men to be saved through believing in Jesus Christ; Jesus Christ saves and forgives all sins of those who believe in Him AS A FREE GIFT; Jesus baptizes every believer at the moment of salvation with the Holy Spirit, then God the Father, God the son Jesus Christ, and God the Holy Spirit comes inside the spirit of the believer to dwell with them forever. Without Jesus Christ no Christian can do anything. Any who exclude or diminish Jesus Christ in any way impenitently will not have God the Father, nor the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit does not focus on Himself, instead He comes to teach and remind every believer of everything that Jesus Christ has declared and taught, strengthens them to obey and have power/authority to live and spread the gospel on earth; gives gifts/offices to all members of the church to enable it to function effectively on earth. Some wanting signs and wonders and miracles focus on and lust after the Holy Spirit for His spectacular workings and are denied because their focus is not on worship. This kind of lust after signs is actually a sign of their unbelief: Jhn 4:48 Then said Jesus unto him, Except ye see signs and wonders, ye will not believe.

The world hates Christians: Jo 15:18 If the world hate you, ye know that it hated me before it hated you.

Christians will be and are persecuted for preaching the gospel message: Mat 5:11 Blessed are ye, when men shall revile you, and persecute you, and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely, for my sake. 12 Rejoice, and be exceeding glad: for great is your reward in heaven: for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you.

Every church must be fully built up in the whole gospel message to be prepared and able to rebuke, repel, and get the unrepentant wicked person(s) out of their midst who blaspheme God, oppress the people by perverting the gospel message, which reveals them as anti-Christ and enemy of God. 1Jo 2:18 Little children, it is the last hour: and as ye heard that antichrist cometh, even now have there arisen many antichrists; whereby we know that it is the last hour.

The antichrists are already in the world from before the time of the gospel with the arc enemy being the devil and his children following later on. Christians should not get distraught by evil people or envy them. Some evil people gain fortune and even fame, but this is of no importance to Christians because from the beginning of the Bible to the end God declares that He will put a final end to the devil and his followers. God instructs the church how it is to deal with evil people who arise from within the body to trouble the church as well as how to deal with those coming from outside of it.

ETERNAL SECURITY FOR THE RIGHTEOUS NO ETERNAL SECURITY FOR THE WICKED

Psa 37:1[[A Psalm of David.]] Fret not thyself because of evildoers, neither be thou envious against the workers of iniquity.

Psa 37:2For they shall soon be cut down like the grass, and wither as the green herb.

Psa 37:3 Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed.

Psa 37:4Delight thyself also in the LORD; and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.

Psa 37:18 The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever.

1Jo 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world.

1 Jo 5:18 We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not; but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself, and that wicked one toucheth him not.

God has no enemy who is too big to cut down: Psa 37:35 I have seen the wicked in great power, and spreading himself like a green bay tree.

Psa 37:36 Yet he passed away, and, lo, he was not: yea, I sought him, but he could not be found.

Rev 20:10 And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night for ever and ever.

17 Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which ye have learned; and avoid them. 18 For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ, but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple.

    Romans 16:17-18 (KJV)

10 Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment.

    1 Cor 1:10 (KJV)

2 I have fed you with milk, and not with meat: for hitherto ye were not able to bear it, neither yet now are ye able. 3 For ye are yet carnal: for whereas there is among you envying, and strife, and divisions, are ye not carnal, and walk as men? 4 For while one saith, I am of Paul; and another, I am of Apollos; are ye not carnal?

    1 Cor 3:2-4 (KJV)

The word division in the Greek means: disunion, i.e. (figurative) dissension :- division, sedition. The Bible is clear there is only one gospel that God has set forth for the whole world. God forbids divisions in the body. In God’s eyes these denominations show carnality, spiritual weakness, and a lack of personal biblical integrity, and making an idol of self. We must serve God based upon the whole gospel of God.

You have to wonder why do so many denominations exist, when the Bible does not support any. These are man made agendas that are attached to and added to the word of God. These are man made attempts to be righteous by tradition, and made up stuff for their own purposes. What does the Bible say about John's water baptism, that John agrees fully with:   12 And when Zacharias saw him, he was troubled, and fear fell upon him. 13 But the angel said unto him, Fear not, Zacharias: for thy prayer is heard; and thy wife Elisabeth shall bear thee a son, and thou shalt call his name John. 14 And thou shalt have joy and gladness; and many shall rejoice at his birth. 15. For he shall be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink; and shall be filled with the Holy Ghost even from his mother's womb.16.  And many of the children of Israel shall he turn to the Lord their God. 17 And he shall go before him in the spirit and power of Elias, to turn the hearts of the fathers to the children, and the disobedient to the wisdom of the just; to make ready a people prepared for the Lord.

The Bible is clear, John's baptism was to get the people ready to hear the Messenger of the gospel. Every single denomination has added something to the Bible that contradict its message, so that they can uphold their error. There are going to be some surprised people who attempt to stand before the judgement seat of God who bypassed Jesus, to claim common water saved them, or that their denomination saved them. Jesus told you too why don't you believe Him? Repent before its too late!!

It's a crying shame that some are seeking to build up their ministry by culling certain people from among the flock. Some only want people who are rich, or financially staple families. In doing so they hope to enrich themselves and perpetuate their ministries. Certainly we should minister to them, but never neglect that God intends the Gospel for all people, and none should be excluded.

When we stand before Jesus all of us will have to account for what we did with His message. I think few will be foolish enough to say that they preached just to the rich, or just to families. I think few if any would say they preached John the baptist, Luther, or the traditions of any denomination. No one will stand justified before Jesus Christ other than those who believed, lived and preached the Bible.

If we preach to the rich, let's tell them not to trust in their riches, remember the poor, and believe the Gospel message the same as God requires of all Christians. If we preach to families, let us tell them marriage is to be an example of Christ and His church, but that there willl be no marriage in heaven. If we preach to those who are single let us tell them to abstain from sexual sin, and live holy lives. God is no respecter of persons, unless the Lord builds a house the laborers theirin labor in vain.

I still shutter when I think about the time I wasted thinking I was saved because somebody dunked me in water. I thank God,  for those who preach the truth of the Bible. Incorrect teaching of scripture is dangerous and hinders people from actually being saved. The Bible is very unapologetically harsh about anybody preaching a false gospel message:

6 I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of Christ unto another gospel: 7 Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. 9 As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.

    Gal 1:6-9 (KJV)

John, the forerunner of Jesus Christ offered water baptism of repentance as a sign to them that already believed, and to prepare them for the gospel Messenger Jesus Christ. Water baptism still remains as an ordinance of the church offered to them who  are aready saved, shows public identification wtih Christ.

Who is greater John the baptist,  or Jesus Christ? Who can take away our sins, John the baptist or Jesus Christ? The answer for both is Jesus Christ. Did Jesus Christ tell us that He saves us by water baptism? No, Jesus is the only way to God.

And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me. 5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.

    Acts 1:3-5 (KJV)

After the ascension of Jesus Christ He shed fortth the Holy Spirit to fill all who believe in Him:  1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place. 2 And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. 3 And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. 4 And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

    Acts 2:1-4 (KJV)
