Not a Poem -- Yet
Seek the Truth, Live the Truth, Be the Truth, All this in Love. Be considerate of others, treating them as better than yourself, even though they are not. Do it for the following reason: God, in Christ Jesus, though better than us, does not cling to that but instead chooses to put our needs ahead of what he could rightfully claim, out of sincere Love for Us. This is our example – a life dedicated to Love in Truth. Truth causes pain at times, but do not be deluded. Any pain that comes from Truth is ultimately for good alone. There is no evil in Truth, only evil in the hearts that choose how to express it or withhold it. This is the Ethos of being a Christian.

The Oath
Centurion to Centurion The Oath is passed No false solemnity to denigrate Cutting deep with meaning Tradition, yes, but not of such import As to diminish Honor or Loyalty or Duty The words unspoken, the most deep of worth Desiring Liberty and Justice A sacrifice made of the same for others The watch is long The burden – grueling But the King is returning No one knows when “Stand Alert, Soldier!” “Hold Your Post!” For that is really Your Oath

The Tears of God
I have touched the Tears of God Streaming down the face of those who feel His Sorrow Sorrow for the Children The Children of God Like lost sheep, not yet fully knowing The Voice of the Shepherd Calling to them Words of Comfort Words of Chastisement Words of Guidance Words of Encouragement All in all: The Word A Voice unheeded In Sorrow

God's Fingers
Dear Lord, Lay you hand on me, Not so heavy, that I cannot bear. Lay your hand on me, and let me see, The loving way you smooth my hair.
Hands so strong, I cannot resist, And a touch so gentle, like the morning mist. Guide me, teach me, poke me, prode me, Tickle me and throw me, laughing with glee.
