    The Shepherd's Proclaimed!

    We were in the field,

    Tending our sheep.

    All was so quiet,

    We were falling asleep!

In the blink of an eye,

    The sky turned so bright!

    All the angels appeared,

    We trembled with fright!

"Glory to God in the highest,"

The host of angels did sing.

The news of the Messiah's birth,

    To us they did bring.

Born in the City of David,

And in a manger He lay.

He's wrapped in pieces of cloth,

You will find Him this way.

    So off we went to,

    Search for this child.

    Who was born this night,

In a way so meek and mild.

    We were struck with awe,

As we came to the place!

    We felt so unworthy,

To even gaze upon His face!

    So humbled by the fact,

The angels gave us this news.

    We are just shepherds,

    The lowliest of Jews!

    But with joy overflowing,

We sang praises in the street!

We began telling the Good News,

To every one we would meet.

Then back to the field to,

    Tend the sheep we went.

    Praising God for our Messiah,

And the night's events He had sent!

    The Cure

    The Cure.

    You seek a physician,

    When you are sick.

    Or look to a friend,

    When troubles are thick.

    We look for help,

    When we need a hand.

    Or just someone to,

    Listen and understand.

    But there is one sickness,

    With no earthly cure.

    It's our sin against God,

We've all done it for sure!

    Whether your sin is big,

    Or may even seem small.

    Just too many of them,

    You can't list them all.

    Confess them to Jesus,

    He'll forgive you, your sin,

    He is sins only cure,

    Jesus heals you from within!

    Another Poem

    I Saw The Inmate Praying.

I saw the inmate down on his knees.

    I could hear his wondering pleas;

"I'm only an inmate what can I do?

What kind of service can I give you?

I'm here in jail for the crimes I've done.

Who would listen to me, I can't think of one?

Tell me Lord Jesus what can I give?

What can I do behind these walls where I live?"

The inmate looked up to see me there.

    He said this was the answer to his prayer;

Let Me tell you My child, this is what I ask.

I want you to serve Me there and help with My task.

Read your Bible and spread the word.

Hold Bible studies so My message is heard.

Follow My teaching and do what I say.

Stand as My witness living the right way.

Be filled with compassion, kindness and love.

Continually pray to My Father above.

Serve Me in the jail, you can still do so much good.

Treat those who are there as your neighborhood.

Encourage and teach them to come to Me in prayer.

Be a reflection of the relationship we share.

Seek Me in the stillness, close your cell door.

Stay focused on Me so I can teach you more.

I have not cast you away from My face.

I will always show you mercy and grace!

    Shedding The Pain

    Shedding The Pain

    You've lived life,

    Full of abuse.

    Looking at each day,

    Thinking what's the use.

    "Who could care about,

    A person like me?

I live with so much pain,

    That's all they can see."

    "I've reached out for help,

    But when will it come?

    I am so apprehensive,

    To trust just anyone."

    Jesus Christ is the answer,

    He'll help you through.

    Surrender it all to Him,

    Letting Him work in you.

    The road may be rough,

    From your point of view.

But He will make that change,

    Giving you life that's new!

    One day at a time,

    Closer to Jesus you'll be.

As you let go of your past,

Soon through Jesus you'll be free!

    Where Is Johnny?

    Where Is Johnny?

    Where is Johnny,

    Does anyone know?

    He was just standing here,

    Where did he go?

    I turned my head,

    Just to look around.

    Now all that's here,

    Are these clothes I found!

    What does this mean?

Can you give me a clue?

    John talked of Rapture.

    Could this event be true?

    If I had only listened,

To what John had to say.

    I wouldn't be lost,

    And standing here today!

    Refer to Matt. 24:37-51(NLT)
